Do you think its real? This same picture did the rounds over 18 months ago. Look at the bracket above the exhaust header - you can see some of the kickstart still there from when they photoshopped it.

Nope, doesn't line up correctly.
Nice big rear brake rotor though...

Hmmmm the bloody thing could be 'vapourware' then (ie doesn't exist)...
A mate of mine just back from the states told me about them, but I cant find it on suzuki USA's site ...
Great idea though .. electric start, 6 speed gearbox, heavy duty brakes...

Heres a forum thread from Jan/Feb 07 with that same picture in it:

I'd think there will be a real one soon enough now. Suzuki is the only major manufacturer without this market segment covered.

its a photoshop job done off a pic of a 05 RMZ450, they did not even botehr to put an 18" rear wheel on it,
i guess it would be fuel injection now as well since the RMZ450 is

I reckon they should just cut out the DRZ step & go electric start mx like KTM :).

i have seen way to many KTM450 electric starts pushed off the track to go their, they do not fire that well when hot,

mine starts every time, just bought a micky battery, the starter was still cranking it over and starting (if i held full throttle) when i siezed it! it has done nothing but bush bashing and has to start in most places i stall because if it doesn't start i'm fucked.
450 DRZ is a brilliant idea, doesn't have the flash wavey brakes tho, i wonder what it weighs cos the 400 is a tank?

the ones i have seen have been on MX tracks with national riders on them, so they would be running very hot, they do not seem to be as big an advantage as you would think,
however everyone i know lvoes the buttons on trail rides and cross country's

mine gets hot, i fact i boil it on pretty much every erzberg style ride we do, just pull the hot start in on handlebar with left index finger, 2 cranks and she's off. i know all bikes act differently and that's just mine. i see what your saying about the lack of an advantage too. i think it would be more of an advantage for enduro type riding as you stall more often or sometimes are in a difficult position to be able to kick her

on the DRZ450 note, i wouldn't have thought there was much point now that the RMZs are 5 speed. i guess that's why it's a 6clicker just to make a point of difference?
