Hi. I live in Hamilton in New Zeeland (90 minutes south of Auckland).

I wish to tour Victoria - SA - Gold Cost for two weeks in March or April 2009 (the starting point is not important as long as it is near an international airport). I am hoping there is someone over there who would like to tour NZ, and would be keen to exchange bikes. I would like to ride a tourer, sports tourer, or big adventure bike.

The exchange does not have to be at the same time; for example, I might ride in Australia in April, the other person might borrow my bike in June.

I am an experienced rider, aged 53.

I own a 99 BMW R1100R set up for touring: panniers, top box, screen. ABS, hand warmers, hand protectors. Great bike serviced regularly by the local BMW agents.

I would like to hear from anyone who has done such and exchange - pitfalls, suggestions.

Hi -Interesting idea. Maybe you could join the 'Two Wheels Forum' here, Introduce yourself then suggest this? I hope to be in NZ early next year but will be up the Marlborough Sounds -not much use for a road bike unfortunatly.
---Cheers
