I never thought Id see the day.... on both bikes too.

Just confirmed. The lowest premium I could get on the rr was $1700, with a $1400 excess. Got the DRZ on third party for $326

After having the most violent tankslapper and thinking im going down when test riding made me think its a good idea... But I also decided not to do wheelies on it... thats what I have a motard for!

So all the money I used to spend on fines, is now spent on insurance. I think its better...

Big Thanks to Dave and the team at Kiwibike. Top service as usual.

Holy crap that seems expensive. Are those normal premiums for that type of bike?

For people like Morcs and myself with 'not very good' history it is.

I have similar premiums on my GSXR1000K3, but Dave has said that if I go one year without tickets/claim then it'll half, which would be very reasonable for someone of my age (Under 25) on that particular bike.

Yeah I am around a grand after having insurance and no claims for 7 years...... but I speed and am a male so therefore claim far more often than my law abiding accident prone sister :shit:

Hit that magic age of 25 a month after I need to review my insurance so will be talking to dave nicely soon to see if we can work a cheaper deal.

Im only paying around $560 for the busa. Thats thru State who i've been with for 15 years, with only 1 claim (cage). They gave me a 65% no claims for life, then i went and claimed twice in one year on my bike.
Strangely, just had the insurance renewal and they dropped it slightly, even with 2 crashes, go figure. So i guess it pays to be loyal to one company, if they treat you well.
