View Full Version : Bike Mags

Had a bit of a browse around Whitcoulls after buying my copy of Lard Monthly, and noticed the myriad of biker mags on the shelf.
Thumbed through a few and wondered if any of you lovely people had an opinion on the best mag out there for NZ biking.
This site is a great resource (as well as savage humour) but I need to have some kind of publication on hand to stick my nose in when the missus is giving me a hard time over any number of domestic chores I have not attended to.....as well as the nagging about "...oh, and you have a very small trouser snake..."
Take care, ride safe and eat pies

Personally i quite like the NZ "Bike Rider" mag,as far as road bikes go theres something for everyone,sportsbikes/tourers/cruisers etc, used to by Kiwi Rider but have no interest in dirt bikes anymore so 1/2 of it was no good to me.

Although not a 'bike mag' per se, I do find the test articles in Motorcycle Trader to be pretty real world, just sadly they dont have tests on all the bikes available.

Yeah. Bike Mart is already there for download.
Eventually if you subscribe you'll have the choice of online or hard copy or both.
Consolidating the improvements in the print edition first - and the web site is coming along.
We've stared videoing the bikes as well. Very excitement.

Suppose it depends on what your major interests in biking are.
I get Aussie Road Rider. Great articles and reviews of the sort of bikes most of us are going to ride, touring ideas (mostly Aussie but they do cover NZ and international rides also), gear reviews and the odd mechanical tip.
Don't stock it at my local Whitcoulls but they'll probably get it in if you ask.
No tits (unfortunately).

Got to recommend Bike Rider (kiwi). Read every page each month- bike reviews, trips, all styles of ride. Really good value.

Kiwibiker and Australian Road Rider are what I read most.
Interestingly the subscription price for ARR is dearer than the cover price!?
Strange but true :weird:

I think he reads it for the cock - he commented outta the blue on really old a post of mine via bling suggesting that he liked my penis :weird: Man's obviously a bit of a puftah.
I like Two Magazine - it's got great reviews and has Niall MacKenzie and Jamie Witham..it's also linked with www.visordown.com which is a British forum worth a look from time to time.
