Well, I guess the resale value on a Corona replica GSXR6 just went up, you'd be a bit gutted if you'd bought a Telefonica rep, huh? Nice Honda, mate

Nice! The GSVR's titainium exhaust has got me all light headed :not: and the gixxer with a more er conventinal (sp) muffler looks bloody gorgeous.
Well at least we'll get to see pleanty of the gxxers this year at the front of the SBK feild, i'd like to say the same about Hopkins and Roberts in MotoGP, some good showings and qualifying times last year but lets hope for a big improvment.

I've gotta funny feeling the Corona team will win more races between them than any other team in SBK.
Actually, didn't someone bet me $50 that Corser would finnish behind Vermulen? Come on, speak up....

I think Andrew Pitt lappped quicker than Corser at Philip Island in the recent tests. When do the Suzuki boys get the new 05 models? A week before the first round? So no-one backing Ben Bostrom then? Or the reigning champ James Toseland? Or Norick Abe??

Got em already. And no he didn't. And "no they're not." Or him. And definitely not him.
Toseland is most definitely the LUCKIEST mutha fucka on two wheels. Still a talent, no doubt. But him and Neil Hodgeson are about to see what real motorcycle racing's made of.
And if he can do? I'll eat my hat, that's just what I'll do.

Come on Skunk. Surely there's a Kum'n'suk'me rider you'd back? No. Don't think either Hoffman or Nakano can do it on the current Kawa. They're too slow developing it
But I'll 'support' them every race :niceone:
Fuck - I can't fit a [PT] into the freckin post!

Andrew Pitt lapped 1.33.9 sec, 0.3 sec under Corsers best time. Heres my source of info, wheres yours?

Yeah, guess its a little unfair to compare times from an ex World Superbike champ and acknowledged local track expert on a sorted WSBK machine with an experienced team (whew) to a WSBK rookie on a new bike with a new team running at the same track only days apart.

From MotoGPnews.com:
Out of all the Japanese MotoGP teams in 2004 Suzuki stood head and shoulders below the rest with their semi-nail GSV-R heap. It's hard to imagine that the bike came from the same firm that won the 2000 championship with Kenny Roberts Jnr. It's even harder to imagine that Kenny Roberts Jnr has won anything.
2004 was a tough season for Team Suzuki but they haven't rested during the off-season and while other manufacturers have been showcasing their latest improved machines Suzuki have chosen to pool all their efforts into repainting their bike.
"It showcases all of Suzuki's corporate racing colours" commented a Suzy official "with a strong emphasis on white to make sure that it stands out from the crowd". However many people believe that by lap two it won't be in, or anywhere near a crowd unless it breaks down near the main grandstand.
Suzuki's new team manager spokesman Paul 'Comical Ali' Denning was understandably disappointed that a majority of the budget had been spent on the paint scheme but brushed aside the tears to read a statement to the press. "This is an important step forward for Suzuki Motor Corporation and especially the MotoGP team. We are competing both to win and to promote Suzuki's global image, and the GSV-R now has the design and aggressive styling the firm's performance pedigree demands." stated team manager Paul Denning. "It looks fantastic, in my opinion, and I am proud to be associated with such a great looking motorcycle. Furthermore the invaders of our country are as we speak fleeing for their lives and those who stay will leave Iraq in body bags…hey what's that booming sound?"
But above the newly painted and glossed exterior there were the usual grumbling…not all of which could be traced back to Junior's abdomen.
"What the hell is all this about?" questioned a Suzuki mechanic "Last year we looked silly - even Kawasaki were faster than us and we own them buggers! This year we were all really expecting great things and what do we get? A striking new paintjob. Okay I realise that for the image of Suzuki it's a good idea to draw the eye away from Roberts but if we weren't so bloody slow we wouldn't get noticed as much anyway. Idiots."
But not all the cash was spent on the new colour scheme as Suzuki, with the aid of a local school, were able to produce a brand new 2005 bike which they tested on the first day at Sepang. Unfortunately the new bike only performed a handful of laps before the test rider pulled up around the back of the circuit refusing to ride the bike any further claiming it to be 'a load a lamb' whilst repeatedly kicking it. Suzuki's embarrassment went from bad to worse when the pickup truck sent to retrieve the broken bike put in two faster sector times than the 2005 machine had managed.
"The bike, just like reading the new Foggy book, was a complete waste of time" admitted a secret Suzuki insider. "It was far worse than last year's bike, which takes some not-beating. We've sent it back to Japan to be crushed along with the ejits who built it."
