Thanks Bay Ride Triumph!
Just been out running in ( Hahahahaha) my new 675 Triumph which I collected from Bay Ride Motorcycles last Thursday.
WOW, the Tourque alone on this bike makes it totally fantastic, shite hot brakes bla bla
Go get on one now any one thinking about it, they are bloody brilliant bikes.
PS, I can arrange new ones for anyone interested? NO NOT TEST RIDES:crybaby:

Do they have a slipper clutch - couldn't see one on the specs and now that I've had a bike with one I don't think I could live without it.

And they go round corners like they are on rails. I guess thats why they won that best bike award in Europe 3 years in a row.

Why? Have you forgotten how to change gear?
No 90% of the time it doesn't do anything but theres just that 10% of the time when you fuck up, don't give it enough of a rev between the gears and your already hard on the front brake so the backs got no weight on it...stops the back wheel from locking up and skittering around

Street and Sport Motorcycles in CHCH have a new one for $15k. Sounds all good at any price under 16k.
I am lucky to have a ggod friend who has one and has no probs about letting me take her out. They sure are a nice ride.

Yeah, it really makes them worth looking at at the price. At $17.5K (full retail I think) I would still choose a CBR 600 or GSXR 600 I think...$2K goes a decent way to mods. But when the Triumph starts being a competitor cost wise, it really is hard to pass by. I think I might just go have a look at one when I get back to NZ.

I would like tio think i helped you out on that one, my poor brother was going to buy a honda.......but managed to talk him out of it in a nick of time! I think also a good product will sell it self to some degree, and i think the 675 is just that!

hey if you can Shaun let us know what changes you make to the stock bike and how they work out. What works for you and what doesn't . Not that I'm going racing, just curious.
All I've got is the Triumph performance pipe, nothing like the Arrow race set up, but it sounds the biz. Shit, half the fun of thrashing a 675 is the sound.
For road use I find the Conti Attacks better than OEM but you will be doing the slicks thingy anyway.
You hear some people slagging off the stock 675 rear shock but it works fine for me.

I think it's the best looking sportsbike on the market today. No doubt about it! But that's just me...
Would love to test ride one - on the other hand, then I'd want one and my garage is already full. :(

I'd be keen on that - as long as you've got insurance :) (not that I wouldn't be very careful, but you know Murphy and all...)
Then you just need to let me know what you'd rather try out in the meantime - the Husky Motard or the zx7rr?
... and I've seen you at the track, certainly travelled a bit faster than my nana have ever done
And I won't be along tonight.

I've been thinking about the 675 if I was to change bike from my Ducati 998. I'd love to stay with Ducati but an 848 is just too much money.
I tried my friend's 675 on the road and I had fun! I liked the exhaust note but not the whining noise from the engine (cam chains?)
How hard would it be to turn one into a track bike? My mate had immobiliser and other bling I don't really need. Do they all have that?
Where can I buy track fairing?
cheers
