Hello
I have been riding a little while but am still unsure about how to keep my visor from fogging up, especially in the wet rain. I came into welly not long ago when it was torrential and it felt pretty damn dangerous lol. Any help appreciated.
oh and hello everyone! im a student at Vic got a red scorpio to start on =)

Hello there, and welcome to KB...! :niceone:
There are several treatments for visors, which will reduce fogging. Available at any bike shop.
The best I've tried is a compound called Cat Crap (no, I'm not kidding). Smear a small amount inside the visor, and polish it in. It may require a couple or more applications to be fully effective.
Also, if you can, try riding with your visor open just a whisker.

Yep Cat Crap's great.
Buy it at motorbike shops.
I have heard that toothpaste thinly spread also works, plus it adds a hint of minty freshness.

Hiya and Welcome to KB! :wavey:
Cat crap is very good - I used to use white vinegar and a little cold water, on both the outside and inside and I never had any fog! (on my glasses however :shit:.....)..
But again riding with ya visor open one click also works while you are stationary!
Good luck and happy riding!! :ride:

Is there any other kind?
There' also a product by MCR Safety. Pre moistened towelettes, anti fog, anti static. Designed for safety and ordinary glasses, so safe for visors.

A tiny drop of dish washing liquid smeared on the inside of your visor and then buffed till clear is an economical option, too.

Hi Mia. Some helmets fog a lot worse than others. My cheapo FFM fogs terribly compared to our other HJC helmets.
I just click the visor open when under 80k, and keep it clean and waxed. Sounds like cat crap is teh shit though.

I am going to give a foggy mask a go.
Looks like I will have to bring it in from the Uk. Should have done it a month ago when it would have cost me less that $50 but now I think it will be more.

Another vote here for Cat Crap - it's definitely good stuff. Depending what sort of helmet you have, many of the better brands offer a pinlock visor insert which work extremely well (I've got one of these and I'm really impressed with it). Fog City inserts are a similar solution which I've heard good things about but haven't personally used.
The foggy mask that wysper mentioned looks good too, Arai and I think Shoei and probably some other brands offer a similar product that works well too.
