I was concenred to find today that the bike praking area in the Civic (Aotea Square) city council car park had disappeared, behind a wall
But , never fear.
The bike praking still is available. Just go to the Mayoral drive entrance (opposite end to the old bike prak). Just there a ramp goes down to the next lower level. Go down that, and the bike praking is on the right immediately as you exit the ramp
The small bike area by the Mayoral Drive entrance is still there .

I'd just plop my bike in the middle of a car park.
What are they going to do, tow it?

Probably not. But Enid is likely to think "Oh look, an empty space, how convenient". Since she cannot see anything as small as a bike. And drive right over your bike.
ANother bad thing about the new place is that it is not where the custodian people can watch it
I think the move is occasioned by the repair sthey are doing to stop the roof collapsing any further.
Hopefully once those are done we may move back again

The Auckland City Council will ticket you if you park a motorcycle on the footpath.
Even when the Showgirls bouncers say it'll be fine.
It would appear that Showgirls do not consider knowledge of Auckland City Council parking regulations to be a relevant qualification for their bouncers.

I don't think I've ever met a female employee of that place who qualifies as any sort of smart.

Not a lot. I use it regularly.
But the footpath is not weather protected (usually). And nor is it as secure as the car park . Though that is a bit less so now that the bike prak is not under the vigilant eyes of the seneschals.
I have happily left my bike praked overnight in the carpark. I would not do so on the footpath
