4 Stroke's off

I'm sure Lloyd wouldn't mind me putting this here:eek: but the mud man had a bit of an off yesterday.

After finishing off a days work track marking for the South Head Trail ride (Nov 16th) we did a high speed hoon home. 4 Stroke was probably in top @ 100k racking around a corner when he high sided. Result.. a very broken 4 stroke, both rider and bike that is. 4 Stroke the rider has smashed his shoulder and won't be doing the Rookies class at the GNCC. In fact he won't even be doing the youth,expert or womens class either until Xmas.:shit:
4 stroke the TXC 450 needs new bars and plastics etc but is not too bad.

The irony (sorry mate but I have to tell) was that what caused his crash was Mud. 4 Stroke is OK but will be converting from a clay to a sand rider soon.:soon:

yup im ok i think, snaped the color bone around the front sort of under my chin. yeah the bikes not too great got a clean snap through the bars, good excuse for some new high rise bars i think. lol was a nasty one i didnt rvrn see the slipery shit on the road just cought me by suprise. hmmm o well.

I can't speak for the Leatts but there have been a few reports that they have caused broken collar bones because the brace rests on them. Whether or not thats a scenario that would have happened without the brace on who knows?
A broken collar bone is better than a broken neck.

I do know that on my EVS the front of the padded neck roll prevents the helmet from hitting your chest, so in this instance if your helmet struck and broke your collar bone then I would guess that the EVS would have prevented that. But every crash is different so who knows really?

I believe that a broken collar bone is the most common injury from bike crashes.

im a lil better than my bike, its got a bent rear sub-frame rear guard, both radiator guards and a couple other plastics are all stuffed. snaped the handle bars and theres a few other bits and pieces need fixing. all with just 10 hours on the clock lol. im proberly gona be 5 weeks at least before im riding again.
