I have had the dilema the last week or so wanting to ride on a monday/tuesday but noboddy is open on these days.
Is there anywhere us riders can kick our bikes and and have a blast on a mondya or tuesday?

Taupo? Seriously I don't think there is anywhere you can have a legal ride in the Auckland area.
Maratoto (Wires track), Neasville, Thompsons might be options.
I'm sure there will be some idiots out at Muriwai on Mon Tues riding illegally. Or at the Bombing range.

on the bright side kimmys will be open in 5 days from now.. its not TOO long to wait.
or move to gisborne, 2 formed mx tracks open every day, every week apart from the day before race day, and then theres the dunes / duney paddocks which are open every day of the year

Sorry Pierce but Monday and Tuesdays we grade the tracks and quite often he goes backwards around the tracks.
Tractor/grader and motorbikes don't really mix and riders tend to come out second best.
Open the rest of the week though.

i read an article in the western leader that said they were pretty relaxed abt it as long as your well north of the cut out, although they said if your seen or caught being a fag around people then they'll ticket you!
pretty sure it was on wmcc website also.

Yeah thats always been my thoughts. Go a K up the beach away from everyone and who cares? Its the jock straps hooning around all the kids and familys and dog walkers that piss everyone off. Just a bit boring riding on the beach tho in my opinion.

So basically riding on the beach is legal right? As long as we do it sensible? Cool Thanks! :sunny:

No, That is not OK
Same dick that wrote that piece of info is probably the same dork that wrote a letter to the editor of DRD mag saying the same thing.
Do what you want on the beach at your own peral(have a mare spelling tonight). I have it on good authority that they are going to patrol it real good this summer. Unless you have WOF/Rego. The new speed limit is going to be 30km/hr within a k or two of the cut out and then a maximum of 60km/hr on the beach (or there abouts). Bit hard to fit a radar detecter onto the MX bike. Money for jam for the Police.
Ride in the forest and they are not even given warning notices out now, just trespasses. Anybody caught parking with a m/bike trailer at the car parks gets one. Forestry users then are told to check rego's for trespassed riders.
Why do you think they now have forestry employed security on the gates at Powers/WMCC rides ? Not to close the gate but to check for trespassed people.WMCC would never put this on their site!!
