View Full Version : Auckland: LB Monthly meet up (Squid sess)
Motoracer
20th October 2008, 12:32
Rightyho, I'm organising another one of these meets in the memory of the late Loosebruce. Long story short, it's a catch up over dinner with like minded folks. Before dinner, there's play time which involves pulling a wheelie or two in a safe secluded location. People who just want to watch are more than welcome as well.
It'll be the last one I'll organise, as some of you may be aware that I am moving over seas. So you can kind of call it my KB farewell.
DATE AND TIME CHANGED
Where: Carpark of Hell Airport Oaks, 64A Richard Pearse Drive.
When: Sunday 9th November, 2008
Time: Meet up - 5.00 PM sharp!
Gap off for squid sess - 5.20 PM (late comers text 021 636 156)
Dinner @ Hell Pizza - Once dark and play time is over.
The date and time was changed due to increased development and activity during weekdays at the "stunt site".

Sounds good guys. I've invited a few people who don't lurk in here no more, via text messages as well, so it should be a good one!
Looking forward to it! :niceone:

Long story short, I was the first one on KB to organise a stunt meet 4.5 years ago.

I don't see the big deal in doing another one...
People have probably pulled wheelies for over a century. People today pull wheelies. People will pull wheelies for as long as motorbikes exist.
Hell Pizza feed and the "Monthly meet" in it self is a rememberance.
I for one may pull one or two to remember a mate who inspired me to do them.
See the rest of yous there :niceone:

Mind if I throw your bike down the road?
Not if you plan on buying it.
Been working like a dog, in the process of painting it by hand. I mean wet sanding, filling micro holes over and over again, painting, sign writing. The works! This is all to sell it. So yea, maybe I might mind..

I went to the stunt site last week to check if everything is in order.
Compaired to the last time we used to go there on our bikes, a few new businesses have opened.
Therefore, I would rather play safe and reschedulle the meet to the following Sunday (9th of November). I checked the place on Sunday and it is empty. I would say a good time to meet there would be 5 PM.
I hope people will still be able to come. The original aim of these monthly meets was to make use of the daylight during spring/summer weekdays, for a little bit of fun between weekends. However, I have to give higher priority to safety of all members who want to partake in this event.
Please let me know if you are still keen for this.

Can't even blame work on not being there, perhaps I can blame it on some day ride?
