The amount written on the motor is the quantity without doing the oil filter. As a general rule of thumb you can add another half a litre if doing the filter.

Just a word of caution, as some bikes are very sensitive to incorrect oil levels - just put around 2700cc in and then top up until your dipstick/oil level window shows correct level. Often there is a surprising amount of oil retained in some engines, so you won't always be able to put the full amount listed into the engine without over filling. Unless of course you are doing a full rebuild and have a dry engine. :)

and if ya's can drain oil from your motor while the motors warm...note.."hot oil Burns"...however it drains more easy while warm ...

If ya aint sure then when you refill the oil with 2.7l
THEN start the bike. run it for 30seconds idling.
let the bike settle for a minute
Then fill it to the bottom of the bubbles on the sight glass.
You of course do this with the bike vertical and sitting on both wheels.
That way you KNOW its got the right amount of oil in it

What Frosty said but he missed 1 important step after starting and before continuing to fill and that is check for leaks at the drain plug and around the filter before continuing to fill, if your bike has any kind of oil light run the bike on the first litre until the light extinguishes.
