A fellar has been posting on the google group associated with my web site. Turns out he and a couple of mates did the Hakataramea Pass and Danseys Pass on Vespa and Vesperish (Bajaj) scooters - PX 200's to be more specific. Check out some of the pics here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/8512716@N02/with/2960342143/).

This reminded me of the pic of the guy competing in a desert race (was it the dakar) on a Vespa. Also wasn't there a adventureised vespa on an organised adv ride up north somewhere?

There was a couple of blokes on postie bikes at the Nelson club's trail ride a week or so back. :niceone:

R, I think you are thinking of the '06 Capital Coast.

This has a somewhat of a perverse appeal to me - DB1k on posties :D Chuck on a XR tank like they do on the Ausi posty bike challenge and you wouldn't have to stop then again you wouldn't have time too. Hmmm, theres always the 2010 run.

2010 on a postie? Sounds great but it would probably take 48hrs? !!!

Haha that sounds familiar. I learned to ride on the farm when I was about 10 on a CT110 and I regularly managed to bury it in the mud. It is surprising that they sell them as farm bikes given how narrow the tyres are.

Howdy All, new link to the pics is below as I added other pictures to Flickr which seemed to have pushed the Dansey's Pass Pics further back, so this link will take you directly to the Dansey's Set of pics: Click here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/8512716@N02/sets/72157608324817311/)
