I click on a youtube video of something like a 950 or 450 or whatever being screwed hard and the total fuckwit who made it has removed the bike noises and replaced it with music that they think will make them seem cool.:angry2:

It makes me totally incensed
the sound of a bike being beaten on adds so much
and they replace with some lame arse thrash crap
I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE

mind you, i have been guilty of putting music over a you tube video (just one) .. but it was of lane splitting, so the pipe noise was crap.

Have to agree tho, I want to hear the gear shift at the peek of the range and know the guy can actually ride. not secret agent man ... LOL

Awesome vid. That guy can do a mean waltz with Katie. I didn't find the music as bad as the ones that came out on the aussie trailbike mag dvds - they were just shocking.

Firstly I agree completely. There is nothing worse that a bike vid with no bike sounds. Had to laugh though - that KTM 950 Hooligan ride is my most watched bike vid. I just ignore the music and wait for the WFO throttle under load noise. The sound of the 9x0 with nice pipes is pure porn!

There are a few others that are pure i.e. no music. Cant find the good ones at the moment but there is this one (http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=SAtr845hTas), this one (http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=fJNB11WHkGI&feature=related) and this one (http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=bRwMvHLiNSM&feature=related). Not many about where the bike is under load and accelerating hard. Go and annoy Jezza and get a sound bite of his bike with the new cans and post it

One of the worst aspects of the Crusty Demons show we went to was the god-awful music by the support bands. Basically just a string of obscenities shouted into a microphone while some 'dudes' thrashed around on guitars and drums... all highly amplified.

The vid you linked to above has some amazing scenes in it. Truck passing car, car passing bikes, and "righting" truck scenes especially.

Lots of YZE850T's in all three of those vids, got to have ago at riding in the sand some time.

The scene of the Pajero (I think) crashing into the stuck bike just over the crest of the dune makes me cringe every time I see it. Does anybody have any more info on this scene (who was rider, did he come out of it OK (suspect not), what year was it, how much further did the Pajero come?

What :gob: me with that vid was the truck passing what seems very much like a Peugeot 405 at high speed.You can see the Pug driver lifting off before some of the jumps,but shit,that truck is hauling.

I still would love to see some vids of 'my' Tenere,the 1VJ on the Dakar with its "high speed" fairing.

They used it on the titles for the 2006 Dakar, it always seemed to be playing that scene whenever the wife would bring me in a cup of tea! Made me cringe too, still does...
