Well, I'm not a happy man, turns out more than just me liked my KX250. Some A@#$*^$ has stolen it, my riding gear etc out of my garage. I had only had it out once and organized another ride this weekend with Xen. I'm a little pissed.
It was a KX 250 2005 mint condition with original decals.

Do you think it was taken by someone you know as it sounds like to me they knew thats what u had in your garage and thats what they set out to steel from you. Bloody low life p@#%^s they are and no doubt who ever stole it has already sold the bike and the gear by now. They wouldn't like it if it happened to them. I hope you manage to get it back and if you do I hope they get the mongrel who took it from you. Goodluck.

Spoke to a couple of builders in the neighborhood, bike was seen screaming down the road at 9.30ish in the morning. My guess is they backed ac ar up to garage, chucked all my stuff in boot, one guy jumped on bike other guy drove off. Pretty much just after my wife had gone to work.
Bike was never overly visible, I keep my garage shut for this very reason. I believe they had targeted my bike specifically. I have my suspicions, lets say we have a lot of building going on in my neighborhood (new subdivision). However, generally my street is extremely quiet no road traffic etc. It does appear to be a common thing in Auckland at the moment and I advise anyone specifically with a dirt bike to ensure it is very secure and that the bike has insurance for theft.
Skid, I live in East Auckland.

What you should do is set the video of your neighbour stealing your bike as the screensaver on his laptop then sneakely put it back in his house. That will send the shits up him.
2_SLO I feel for ya buddy. I too have had a scummy mother fucker steal my pride and joy. Hope you get it back.

Feeling sorrry for u. Although i know that's not that's much comfort. We had 5 stolen back in June from our garage, would love to catch the bastards. I'm in east AK too seems like a theme going on here. We now have a load of security installed :- camera, alarms, padlocks, huge chains any thief would be deaf and half dead before he got our new bikes now.
God knows where all these bikes are going. Everyone I speak to seems to know someone who has lost a dirt bike. Police weren't that interested, Although they did come to have a look 3 days after. Ive looked vigilantly on trade me etc but never seen them. However, some seem to get them back. So here's wishing u all the best that you get your bike and gear back.
I would suggest you print off some photos and post them around all the Auckland bike shops and put notices in all the papers.

Hope u get your bike back mate - after the asshole breaks his neck trying to ride it! Sorry if I sound mean but these c*_nts deserve no better for this kind of theft. I suggest we all electrify our bikes and have the switch locked in a very secure box.Obviously the punishment the police and the courts put out is in no way enough to deter the f#ckwits. Will keep our eyes and ears open for it down these ways mate - looks quite distinguishable aye.Such a shame man.PS - post pics of your gear as well if you have any - in case the thick shit rolls up on a trail ride and sum1
recognises them.

What's the point in posting if members don't know any details of this alleged crime? Where did it happen? When? Does the bike have a rego? What do you want us to do, apart from feel sorry for your loss?

I dunno how you could steal it back without beating their heads to a pulp:spanking: Tell you what man, there are a few things that I treasure dearly and the thought of losing them would rip my undies in two and my bikes is are one... If I caught someone i'd be getting arrested for brutally assulting them.
At least you got it back.

Thanks for pointing that out Pitcher, I wish I had your insight, vocabulary, insipid humor, conceited mulish opinion and obviously vast life experience.
But, a recap as obviously you missed a few points in my posts, its ok, even the best make mistakes.
Firstly "alleged crime?" No it defiantly took place, I would love to say I was present at the time, but then I feel it may not of occurred, funny that.
"Where did it happen" Well I did respond to Skids query on that question, East Auckland was the answer I gave. Just to clarify this for you Pitcher, that's the North Island of New Zealand Location: 36°51′S, 174°47′E.
"When?" 10 years ago, I'm still hung up on it.
"does the bike have a rego?" Errr, no its a KX 250 MX bike. Strangely I don't require a registration plate to ride in the forest. It does have a serial number, however I held off putting that down as I did not feel comfortable putting my bikes serial number down on an open website. No real reason, it just didn't feel right. If anyone has any information regarding my bike I am more than happy to supply the serial number on PM.
"What do you want us to do" Pitcher, I don't want you to do anything, I was merely sharing my misfortune with KB. However I see that was an error in relation to yourself if you could please add me to your ignore list that way we wont have this problem again.
"apart from feel sorry for your loss" Whether you feel sorry for my loss or not is irrelevant, however I do appreciate most peoples comments,it is a loss, but no one died, life moves on.
I hope I clarrified a number of concerns you had raised, once again I appreciate your input.

Exactly.... my pet hate = people who put stupid shit in their "location" field. It's there for a purpose and this is that purpose. Since "East Auckland" covers a huge area and about a million people, keeping a lookout is going to be a bit difficult.

2_SL0 - sorry to hear about your loss, that sucks big time.
There's nothing much lower on the scum scale than thieves especially when it comes to bikes.
I totally understand your reluctance to post frame numbers as well as your exact location (including in your location on your profile) as this is (as you correctly point out) an open forum where unfortunately people like these scum could well hang out looking for their next target, not to mention a host of other reasons you may not want to reveal your location.
Besides, the likelihood that the bike is in your immediate vicinity is slim at best.
Flying CR250's case is an exception (not to mention bloody funny).
Hope the insurance company doesn't shaft you too much and preferably that your bike is located and returned to you in good nick and quickly.
