Hey there!
Heard someone on here got his partner a 2005 CRF250X for her first bike. Love to know how she's going. Sounds like it's a good bike.

thatd be me
its an 04 - but same thing really
its now pretty much a 250RX, as i didnt like the way it went and cheap R bits popped up for sale.
Shes short as- 5'3 or something, so ive dropped the forks down in the clamps, chopped some seat foam out and wound the rear spring down.
shes only a trail / muck around rider and when shes not lying on the ground she loves it
the bike is probably a little big for her, but thats never stopped anyone before and she has got used to this. unfortunately any smaller bike is significantly slower and lacks decent suspension and brakes.
she loves the electric start, i think she wouldnt still be riding without it
overall i highly recommend it as a first bike.
but for anyone who does own one the very first thing you should do is throw away the factory exaust system - baffles in or out, makes the bike run like a bag of balls. go straight to a factory CRF-R one or better. then set your jetting to CRF-R standards as well. this totally removes the dying off low revs problem when you give it some gas. and makes it so its not as slow as an xr250
