Bugger knows how many of these bloody threads I've put up but...I've done it again
Today I took possession of a 2007 ZX6R race bike(cheers Chop)!
Got sick of being concerned re my 1098S (or whatever I've had at the time) whilst out blasting around Taupo.
Time for me to break the 1:40 barrier 'cause 1:41 just doesn't do it for me!
Naturally one of the first things that has to be done is to paint her BLACK :devil2:
Let the games begin...

The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem...
Those fairings look bloody nice as they are, unless its good work on the camera. Btw, whats with the 600? What did it do to deserve hauling your big arse around the track?

What are you doing online? Should you not be entertaining your guests?
Or putting 20,000 or so layers of wax on the bike?

About time you got something you aren't too concerned about breaking. The 1098 is something you really, really don't want to crash eh.

That is a sweet looking bike, would be a shame to paint it.
Here's how it looks on the track, nicely passing someone on the inside (round 5 VMCC)

Just a quick stupid question here D,
If you bought the ZX6 Racebike to beat the time of your 1098S, well the thing that confuses me is that wouldn't a stock standard 1098S still beat the time of a race mod ZX6R? I'm speaking of the cc capacity difference here...
Thanks :)

Read my first post again mate. It's all about not caring if I bin it therefore clearing my mind in order to be able to push it harder and in time faster.
Ok...imagine riding 'round a corner thinking..."shit this could get expensive!"

Bit of an update...
'Manu' isn't looking too hori at all atm thanks to the good people from Smith and Boyle Ltd here in Tauranga.
The manager saw the delightful brush job I'd done on her and decided on the spot that they had best offer a freebie paint job! :done: :shit:
This weekend will be the 3rd time I've ridden her and only the 4th time I've ever ridden a 600cc sprotbike!
Oh well...Taupo Rd race Spectacular and the 3 hour Endurance race should work a few of the kinks out no?
Mucho thanks to all of those who have helped me out to get her and myself to this stage :Punk:
