:niceone:Im in Brisbane .. been here approx 11 days! Love the weather, love the place, been roaming around (by car, old Mitisibishi Magna Station Wagon I picked up for 2 grand and have called her Shirl hahahahahaha shes a grunty crossdressing bitch with attitude) .. Im living in a Suburb called Seventeen Mile Rocks, next Suburb over is Oxley .. nice wee quiet village ....
ANYWAY ... I have seen so many bikers around here which is fantastic .. a high percentage of bikers I have seen thus far prefer to ride in shorts/teeshirts, sometimes singlets & sneakers ... WTF ... :eek5: yes its hot here but geez ..the amount of skin that could potentially be left on the road is kind of distressing!
Its obviously something thats the norm here and who am I to judge! Its just an observation that makes me shake my head a little .. I have seen SOME bikers all leathered up which is a good thing ... but geez between near naked bikers and blue Sprite bottles I may need some therapy in months to come hahahahaha :lol:
No regrets about moving here though, the place rocks!

Just goes to show you how much they value their lives. They are usually the 1's that will turn around and tell you it will never happen to them. The only thing is that when it does it will be the 1st and last time it does. Regardless of how hot it is it aint worth riding your bike with shorts and a singlet on as if you do happen to come off there aint any protection thats going to protect you. You do see them riding like that here but I guess there are alot more over there because of the warmer weather.

I suppose everybody has to come from somewhere... last time I was on the gold coast, (in August a few years back) they were moaning about the cold (18 degrees) They were supprised to hear "back home" was minus 5... 42 deg. in the shade (if there is any) is considered "hot"... just work on your tan... PM me with the photos...:niceone:

Go on take the car to the Gold Coast, see if ya can drive around the area they have for special kiwis this weekend, might find a few strange vehicles circulating, seem to be going one way, except the guys driving Holdens in support races.Would be neat to see Howdy Hawera on a Mitsi driving around the course.

I'm told on good authority, that the reason aussie bikers show so much bare skin, is because they are so thick skinned...don't need leathers. Just what I heard...

I guess when you see the bike police riding the motorways with short sleeved shirts and no protective gear other than there boots you can kind of understand why some dont take safety seriously.

Can't be as bad as Bathurst in '98,the amount of guys yelling "show's ya teets"(as aussies do),and to not see any, even on the hill was annoying lol.Mind you did see a Playboy car sponsored mum/daughter handing out promo posters around the manufacturers area. They were a feature for the mag(and car team),and yep the mum was tidy, she had her girl at 17,the mum was 35,daughter 18,yep I asked her age.
Hope to head over maybe March if possible, better as just renewed passport(thieving buggers).
