Service for Cagiva Raptor 650?

I just bought a 2nd hand Cagiva Raptor 650 and was wondering where I could get it serviced in Auckland, preferably near North Shore. Where do the Raptor riders on KB get their bikes serviced, any recommendations?

It has a suzuki engine so a suzuki dealer should be able to service that. The rest of the bike is pretty standard so they should be able to do that aswell.

servicing is dirt cheap my last one cost $180 on a 1000

gee's service it yourself...aren't hard..as is only your time to spend on it...new oil an filter..pull air filter out and take to any workshop with compressed air...normally good shop lets you blow it out yourself..no charge..check chain tension yourself.that aren't hard.as too with sparkplug's ,cheap to replace with new plugs and nuts and bolts.they only need checking for loosness...best of all it gives you the knowledge in spending time on it...don't always belive that a shop gives you a fair deal ..however there are lads on this site that give alot for less..check frosty..

Yeah but you'd probably be best going to a zuki dealer like Coleman's I reckon... Or do it yourself :yes: There is a lot of fun in learning how to work on your bike!

No, we don't but if you bring your raptor along we will take care of getting it serviced and everything.

Yep it was nice meeting you! I don't think you were behind me during the ride... I left last from Kaukapakapa and after I turned onto Peak Rd I tried to catch up to you guys but my bike dropped a cylinder or something, it lost heaps of power, it was a slow ride back! So yeah, I'll learn to work on my bike after I get this sorted by a mechanic, haha.

I like raptors, nice components, upgraded sv650 with italian flair, but being italian they can break down spectacularly. I remember some mates and I trying to get one working at uni one late night....pushed it 4-5 time down the road to bump start it...stubborn bike wouldn't lol.

mine wont clutch start because it has a slipper clutch

Mine has warped discs after 2300kms.

Been about 3 months now that I havent really been able to ride and enjoy my raptor properly.

Gonna be another 3 weeks.

Not happy.

Love the bike to bits though.

Bummer about the warped discs, how did that happen? But I guess you got it brand new so it's still covered under warranty?

Dont know how it happened.

Bike shop seems to think that I got a bike with a bad batch of discs on it.

Seems wierd to me, but apparently its not unheard of. Im not to worried about the discs, Im just pissed that its taken so long to fix under warreentee. Im getting to the point where I'll just ask for my money back and then buy another raptor off them.

True, but as a mechanic friend of mine says people who do that often ignore details such as brake fluid or fork oil which would be checked or replaced at the appropriate milages by a workshop.

Find the service manual online and go nuts.

I have mine serviced at the shop because I have to, for big services I'd get it done at the shop aswell because Im lazy.

Oil and filter changes, Chains and sprockets etc I'd do at home.
