Greetings from the north! I was recommended to check out this site by a member here and am looking forward to making some new friends! As I am heading into winter up here in Canada, I'll be living vicariously through you all as you enjoy your riding season! We've had some great rides this past summer and are already starting to plan rides for next year! I ride a 2007 Suzuki V-Strom 650 DL and absolutley enjoy the crap out of it!

haha, good on you for 'enjoying the crap' out of your bike, that's awesome! Welcome to KB, I hope we can provide some interesting stories for you over our summer and your winter, and maybe you can reciprocate in six months!:niceone: :)

Well we don't, but I'm sure if it we got dumped in 2 metres of snow which hung about for 3 months we might ;)

Welcome Strommergirl. Looking forward to swapping stories and photos as well. With your adventure riding Im sure you get to see some awesome countryside, as do the adventure riders in this country. Excellent bike the V-Strom. Does it come with a plough for winter? :sunny:

Hi and welcome. Having spent most of '04 in Nova Scotia, heading out during "White Juan", I can commiserate with your winter drought of biking.

But I thought winter was just an excuse to break out the snow mobile for you Canucks ? :2thumbsup

Welcome strommergirl :sunny:

Mighty good choice of bike you got there. I'm sure it would be perfect for the Canadian surroundings.

Have fun around here and don't let the odd grumpy goat put you off...they're all good fun, truly!

Be sure also to post pics as soon as your post count will let you. Canada is one of the countries I have on my list to visit before i cark it!

Hi Strommergirl,
As you obviously dont need your bike now due to the snow and damp, i can do you a favour and keep it running sweet...........Just put it in a good packing crate and send via UPS and i'll take pic's of it touring a nice warm south island and send them to you while you work to save enough money to be able to get it back !!!..........I promise to look after it..........My old girl has just died after 200,000+ miles and i cant bring myself to pay for a new one..............But yours , sort of seems like a good idea to me.
AND if you come to collect it personally i've even got a spare bed you could use !

Hi there strommergirl.............and welcome..
My mum is Canadian, so I have some cousie bro's in Winnipeg...never been there, but one day......?
Our little ole NZ is a small country, everywhere is close to the sea... so we dont have the huge temperature variations you get..
And santa turns up here in the summer when we're all at the beach having a barby drinking piss and gettin sunburnt..:)
