Hope to make this one again for sure, was a cracking ride last year

Our group waited till the very end & didn't leave for at least 10 mins of the last bike so we had a clear run for most of the ride

For those that this ride is a first, be it known a police escort will lead this ride from the Chateau to the start of the gravel section & a speed trap or two may be planted closer to the Stratford end as the road opens up, as it was last year.

I still have my prize from last year too :first:

Friends of mine have couple of cotages in Raurimu, about 10 mins north of National Park, these have double bed bunks. I can check on the cost per head, this will be a good option for those on a budget, there is also a lawned area for those who may wish to pitch a tent.
I will find out some details over the next couple of days, PM me if you are interested.

Earlybird entries close on monday 12th January.

This is a good scenic experience and fundraiser.

Hoping to see as many KBers as possible for a catchup & drink.

See first post for entry form & flyer.

is this a cruizy laxed out ride or a bit of a race... am currently in discussions with my parents whether we should come, as I have to go home that weekend anyway... this is a detail they would like to know

Going from last year It'll be a cruisey ride as the lead is an HP car as far as the start of gravel. A lunch stop at Whanga where we get to eat BBQ food for free or pub if preferred (leftovers from republic day sic), before heading to the Stratford plateau (some law enforcement evident on the way). Prizegiving is at the Stratford TET stadium with food & drinks available. Last year most got a prize of some sort.
