Passed my full license on Friday. Utterly stoked going from no license to full in just over a year.
Took the Missus out for a ride yesterday being the first time i've ever had a pillion on the bike (She has been pillion before on mates bikes though). Little tricky, take off and corner very cautiously, but i'm sure that's just nerves that will wear off soon.
Did Coatesville/Riverhead in record slow time, but we both enjoyed it. Hyosung was even more sluggish than usual, but handles the task without any real issues.
Have been thinking about upgrading the bike, but I think at least another 6 months on a 250 will do no harm, as I feel that i've still got plenty more to learn. After that, perhaps something nice and sensible like an SV650S will suit me down to the ground. Then the Speed Triple. Oh yeah!

Nice one :)
Street triple could be a good step up as well. Or one of dozens of great bikes you can choose from.

On ya big guy! Always good feeling to have that you can ride all hours of the day on any sized bike with a pillion legamagally nows! :niceone:
And good on you for not rushing in to buy a big bike straight off, I still rode my lil'ol'hornet for ages when people were saying "how come you haven't got your 900 yet!?"
You can still learn a heck of a lot on the 250!

Yeah, I was seriously looking at that, but I figured the next bike will be second hand no matter what, but the time i'm ready for the Trumpet i'll be buying new. We're talking years away, but i'll take the whole damn lineup for a test ride!
Unless I can find a cheap Speed Four, I think the SV is a good compromise, and not too big a step up. Damn you Devil, I would have snapped up yours if you could only wait 6 months!

It's the way to do it. Might as well take your time and find what you love. I haven't ridden the SV650S but the SV1000S is a great bike. To be honest you'd probably be ok going up to that as long as you're mindful of the power.
I'd imagine it would be much better for 2up than the 650.

Well done on the full mate, congratulations.
Better to hear you took the love of your life out on the back today! That takes real balls, not easy when you have never done it!
Well done!

Well, i've gone and done it now.
Was around Barrys Point Road, thought i'd pop in and have a wee looksie anyway.
I'm taking the Street Triple out next weekend.
Damn. Once I turn the key on, i'm gonna want to buy it.

Holy shit man!
I'm a slow reader and had thought you'd actually bought one.. then I continued reading. What a let down..
Enjoy the test ride! If you can.. just feels like cheating if you don't get to take it home at the end.
