Just thought I would ask before I go blowing loads of money only to get laughed at on rides... Would wearing either one of these leathers make me look like a complete squid (even though I am:rolleyes:) especially If I'm not constantly dragging knee sliders everywhere I go? Just thought I would ask lol http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Helmets-clothing-footwear/Leathers-jackets/auction-184555278.htm

More to the point, why do you care what others think?

You'll get laughed at anyway so don't worry about how you'll look :)
There's much better gear out there but if it's a choice between a $400 jacket with jeans or a $400 one-piece I'd take the suit....
If you can spring for a bit more talk to Quasi (http://www.quasimoto.co.nz) and see what he's got in your size.

You guys bring up a valid point, Maybe I'm just too much into this highschool "looks is everything" mentality haha but thats how posers are born so...I'll have a look at quasi but theres a reason I'm looking at cheap gear but I guess I'll see what to do when I get some money...Thanks for the advice

2 pce suit far far far more practical, pockets in jacket and pants, can wear jacket to work, short trips, with jeans in summer etc etc etc...break out the pants when going on track days, trips etc....or when things may be a bit more serious

The important thing is that you wear it when you ride. If you're out for a weekend jaunt a one piece suit is fine, but it's a pain if you're commuting.
Get some gear that you're comfortable wearing and make sure you wear it every ride. Most times the good old cordura will work just fine.

Wear that, with a nice flouro vest, and you will look just the shiz...and very safe too....

What people think of you is none of your business. Just ride safely with the best gear you can afford...:whocares:

as long as it fits properly and has armor in the right places it should handle one crash ok the good thing about the more expensive suits is you can crash in them over and over and over just ask me or Drew i think we hold the crash records at the winter series :shit:
