From an Ozzy Blackbird website for what its worth. If you have one of the following bikes, might be an idea to call Blue Wing Honda and see what the go is.... info is from the USA.

This came off the recall.gov website. It shows all models affected.

Make / Models : Model/Build Years:
HONDA / CBR1100XX 2002-2003

HONDA / ST1300 2003-2004

HONDA / ST1300A 2003-2004

HONDA / VFR800 2002-2004

HONDA / VFR800A 2003-2004

Manufacturer : AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 05V010000 Recall Date : JAN 18, 2005
Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 36046
Summary:
CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES EQUIPPED WITH COMBINED-BRAKE SYSTEMS HAVE A PROPORTIONING CONTROL VALVE (PCV) THAT MECHANICALLY PROPORTIONS BRAKE FORCE WHEN THE REAR BRAKE IS APPLIED. A SEAL IN SOME PCVS IS IMPROPERLY SHAPED, AND BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE MAY OCCUR.
Consequence:
IF THE MOTORCYCLE CONTINUES TO BE USED AFTER A LEAK OCCURS, THE REAR BRAKE WOULD EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE. A LOSS OF REAR BRAKE FORCE COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR BRAKE FORLEAKAGE. IF LEAKAGE IS CONFIRMED, THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE PCV. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON FEBRUARY 3, 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 866-784-1870.
Notes:
HONDA RECALL NO. P65. CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION’S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).

Can Hitcher sue for it causing him to rear end the van?

Gosh, I hope there are no worries with the earlier CBS valves.
For what it's worth- I am not overly fussed with this Honda system anyway, it should have been just an option. Good for 2-up but..

Don't affect me neither.

I'm not sure that recalls in the US/Europe are applicable here - I'm sure Bluewing Honda would deny all knowledge of it. The VTEC VFRs in the US were also recalled for stator replacements (too puny with all lights running at low speed), replacement of the replacement stators (wires not long enough, causing them to short out inside the case), and the latest thing is that (apparently) the factory may have installed the O2 sensors in the catalytic convertor back to front.:thud:

For doing the necessary to fix any problems with their products (unlike certian car manufacturers) :first:

your guys bikes included in that bykey cop?

No, doesn't affect the work bikes... most have got the new BMW's and a few (like me) are still running around on the ST1100... but my new bike is coming in March.

Yeah fuckin aye, and when was the last time Suzuki had a recall huh, well, i cant hear you, oh thats right TL1000S to be fitted with dampers  , coz they're dangerous or sumthing like that.
Personally i like to think of it as extra character, rather than danger.
