coming to mums this morning... riding past my old bp on semi wet roads on a front tyre with less than 50k on it. i was travelling at between 49 and 50k, and slowed to 45 at one point trying to make her back off. had a cage up my arse the whole way down the road. indicate left to turn at the roundabout. check my mirror for the tail gater only to find the fucking bitch passing me, on my left, also indicating left. i ran out of swear words screaming at her through the window. i know damn well she heard me, and i think my old boss heard me too.
once around the RAB, she sped up to around 60k and tailed a campervan instead. the roads are both heavy high school traffic roads with students known to jump out without warning, and she was honestly going far to fast for the conditions and tailgating to boot. she turned at the lights towards another few schools, so im betting she was running late for something.

i know the plate, and i will recognise her if i see her again. not gonna bother with a police report as they dont do jack shit. id love to get her address so i can write her a polite letter outlining the dangers, but ive a feeling she wouldnt give a fuck. she didnt seem bothered by being called a cunt 5 or 6 times.

Well... A few weeks ago I was in the passenger seat of an Asian driver (No I'm not racist, I'm an Asian myself so no racism here guys).

And trust me....

...The term "**** Asian Drivers!" wasn't invented for no reason...

i know what you mean.

about a month ago,i was following a couple of cars out of a town, and put my indicator on to pass. as i pulled out,the car in front of me pulled out, without any warning, and cut me off.as it pulled back to the left lane,i was mortified to see,the driver talking to the passenger, not looking at the road, and texting on the phone.

there's just too many damn distractions going on in cars, and some drivers seem to be totally oblivious to any possible dangers on the outside:2guns:

Sunhuntin it happens a lot (mongrels) I have my wife to help out in bad times, (pillion) trouble is with her yelping and a mutt passing on the left the brain almost goes into a spin...remember cagers do not feel the bump as bad, stay safe...Expect the unexpected...

Just an other day riding in NZ, happens everyday (to me at least), sometimes even multiple times a day... For some reason instead of ignoring them nowdays I need a little kick in the morning and arvo and I seem to revenge by cutting them right off afterwards, sometimes on one wheel for that extra flavor (splitting the lane on the left works really well if you want to give em a fright). But of course, the right thing to do here is just to ignore the bastards and pull over. Its life, have to take the good with the bad.

Let's review:

How many threads do we have on this board that feature statements like; "..I did 180 kays on the Kawhia Road...", or "...watch this video of me doing a wheelie.."

Then we have the "...all cages are out to get us..." variety.

Can we not start a sub-forum called Pot/Kettle/Black to accommodate these?

Dont you think you should have given her number to the cops then if she had of caused an accident or killed someone with her lousy and dangerous driving and the cops didnt do anything after you giving them her details would mean it would be on their shoulders not yours. We definately dont need cage drivers like her on our roads dangering other road users and its usually people like her who do end up killing or hurting innocent road users who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. When will people learn that its better to get to an appointment late and free of causing an accident then braking all the road rules and killing someone just to be there on time.

Hmmm....
I used to think, "If I was driving a truck or 4WD with bullbars on, and one of these morons pulled out in front of me, I'd give them the learn!"
Then one day someone did, when I was driving a Gummint-issue Land Rove with bullbars on. I was driving along, minding my own business and this old lady turned right in front of me. What an ideal opportunity! But (however!) the reactions kicked in, and I stomped on the brakes, locked up all four tyres, and just missed her. She didn't even notice the mayhem of four shrieking smoking tyres and a tonne-and-a-half (or whatever) of 4WD being a few mm from fucking her car. And inside the Land Rover, my poor girlfriend's got her face against the windscreen, and we both had pounding hearts and a huge surge of adrenaline.

Its not just english teachers trying to kill us, its so called profesional drivers too!
Entry to the northwestern at Pt Chev is light controled on two lanes and straight on in the inside lane filtering from the great north road. There is a solid painted hatched area between this lane and the lanes controled by lights, guess what happens here all the time???? today it was the turn of a fooking great truck and trailer to [dive] out and attempt to out drag a 1400cc motorbike into the same piece of road!!! Stupid, blind professional driving cunt!!! Gave him the old black visor stare and head shake only to be met with big grin and the bird. At least I got to my destination safe and sound and a dam site quicker than the prick in the truck.

Just another near miss story from the daily commute.

I've only ever once had a car driver try to deliberately run me off the road. It was on the way to the Paeroa street races earlier this year.

I guess he'd had a few too many motorcyclists piss him off that day.

Tend to agree, there will be a lot of road jealousy, I'm sure that there is nothing worse than a relaxed biker cruising along enjoying themselves while you're busy obsessing and stressing out over xmas details.

Glad I've sorted my xmas issues already :)

You should have kicked her car, then gotten into a scuffle with her, the threatened to stab her, hen stab her and take her handbag and run her over witha 4x4, then rob a dairy, then..... then she would have learnt her lesson and you would also get compensation from the police. Not like she can retaliate anyway, she would get charged, and who would think of retaliating anyway :oi-grr:.

Saw a nutcase on the Hutt road last night 5:07pm, a bit south of the BP station - peak hour traffic, I'm in the left lane, a BMW650 in the right lane, riding in the centre of the lane, maintaining a small, but ok gap behind the car in front - traffic flowing pretty well at about 60 -70kmh.
Dumbfucker in a little "smart car" thing, grey in colour registration number CBM576, squeezes between the centre barrier and the bike, and jams in between the bike and the car in front. I noted the details cos I'm going to report it if I can.
Bit further down the road, just after Horokiwi, same dumbfucker decides he (it was a male driver) needs to turn off to Petone so without indicating jams in between two cars in the left lane causing the one behind to brake hard. Probably thinks he is sooo clever

Sunhuntin,

I don't blame ya for being mad. I would be.
That driver is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to inattention and stupidity in driving skills.

We have all had these types of experiences and we will again. Ride safe.

yeh, its not the first time ive been passed on the left... more like the 4th or 5th. just annoyed me cos i was indicating [and bike has just got a wof, so indicators are working perfectly.] she wasnt on a cell, and appeared to be looking straight ahead. i think she may be blind to vehicles in front of her.

sometimes id love to get a few sets of relay xmas lights and hook them up somehow and see if that makes a difference.

ive been of the opinion for years tis better to get there late than not get there at all. i gave susan a bollocking the other night when she told me how fast she was going when late to pick me up after work. told her id rather wait 10mins than wait all bloody night.

And running late to pick someone up or late for an appointment then makes us loose concentration and our bearings on where it is we are while on the road and makes people have no respect for other road users. I think we are all guilty sometime in ourlives while on the road loosing concentration because of our minds are on where we should have been an hour ago.It is without a doubt better to be late and arrive there in 1 piece than not to arrive there at all because of your dangerous driving and lack of concentration which has caused an accident. Who would ever want that on their shoulders, I know i wouldn't.

I witnessed the second incident in this tale myself. It was a smart car and a seriously dumb driver.
