Ionisers. Do they reduce odours in vehicles?

Where I work we have problems with the smell in some of our vehicles. Basically some of our residents have 'accidents' from time to time leaving a couple of our vans with a distinct smell of urine.

I've read about the ability of ionisers to remove the smell of tobacco smoke from an environment so have been wondering how effective they might be on our particular problem.

There seem to be a few automotive ionisers on the market http://airflo.co.nz/ionisers.htm but I'd like to hear from anyone who has used these and can comment on their ability to remove odours.

Ion Canon it was.
Pretty sure the ones you are talking about just produce ozone which isnt all that good for your lungs.
Ionizers can clear the air of solid particles like dust/smoke but not of fumes.

Probably best to talk to a few car dealers about this some car dealers use them on jap imports to rid the smoke smell
or you could try a small steam cleaning unit it means getting down and dirty but hey you really have to find out wear the smell is in the van e.g in the seats or carpet and give it a good clean then spray the van with a product called mistic available from a cleaning supplys wholesalers (smells good)

I got one for my bike but it doesnt seem to be working?
Also those bloody airfresheners seem to lose their smell quickly on my bike.Does look good though hanging off the mirror.

Have used one at home for dust and odours, worked well for dust and tobacco but other odours well I did not notice a difference.

Try the pet smell deodoriser spray you cane get from the supermarket, I cant remember the name but its from vitapet, that stuff works a treat on all sorts of smells.
