Girls and I will be there for sure, both days, lapping up the atmosphere... :2thumbsup:clap:
Don't expect to be able to get into good places to take pics, (had to sneak past the "orange shirts" and over the back fence at Rotorua....) so might give the camera to Sophie to play with this time...

An excellent meeting once again. Good turn out of riders.
I can't beleive what they have done to that track, the whole area was immaculate.
Sad that the world junior champ hurt himself, man that kid is fast, i think Hurley would of had some difficulties with him.
Am definately going to go to the World Junior champs in August now!

It was an awesome event, the track was fantastic, the only thing wrong was Broxy & Matiss Karro getting injured, Broxy was leading the MX1 nicely until coming unstuck in the sawdust, I never saw it, but a few who did reckoned he got rear kicked at the start, almost recovered but in the end went over the handlbars & Matiss was jumping like he never wanted to be on land :), but again I missed his off but got told he overshot the jump before the Dam jump & hit the dam jump face.
Anyways, great day especially the all in end race with Billy & Coppins going for it, Josh is some rider.

Yeah, i saw both of those crashes. Broxy was just unlucky, and it was a fairly big spill. He walked passed me to the pits looking pretty average, and i learned later that he had dislocated his sholder. Hope he can make the next race meet as he is on fire this year. Go Broxy
Mattis crashed after his rear wheel kicked a little to the left on the jump ramp which sent him towards the fencing, thought he was going to save it actually. He was certainly jumping large!
Highlight was the Dillon versus Dobbyn battle, thats what i call racing.
And i felt Josh rode way better than the last International event at Taupo, hope that will continue for next year
Was a little gutted Mike Brown didn't show, anyone know what happened there?

Excellent day all round and a good crowd to boot. The highlight for me was watching Billy Mackenzie after being passed by Josh. The man just does'nt give up,he was riding like a maniac and keep'n Josh honest.Inspiring stuff and i hope he has a good season next year.

the racing was awesome but i think Dillon and Dobbin both should have been dq'd out of that race, it takes 2 to tango and neither of them are innocent parties,
the Club out did themselves, the place looks amazing, i can not wait for the Juniors worlds now,

Yep awesome day. A lot less spectators than the first international though so I hope the Taupo club covered their costs.
I expected the GP guys to fly but Darryl King really impressed me for someone who "retired" The man is a legend. I heard that he wasn't even going to race Sunday and ended up 3rd overall

True dat with Daryll, the man is a legend. His performance was as good as the week before at Rotorua. And i agree, the turn out of spectators wasn't as big as the previous international, but then Everts was the draw card for that one.
As far as the Dillon/Dobbyn battle goes, i thought it was brilliant as the crowd were lapping it up, from what i saw Dillon was the first to serve it up to Dobbyn (right in front of me) and Dobbyn had an opportunty to give some back (fare enough after Phillips cleaned him out at mx nats round 1 can understand his way of thinking), but that is the sort of racing i love, wheel to wheel lap after lap, an awesome battle.
Two good weekends in a row, what more could you ask for?

they did the same at the manukau sx aswell, although it looked like they were actually looking for each other which changes it a bit,not sure how it went down down there, but nothing wrong with a bit of aggresive block passing every now and then!

Great pics.
Who does the graphics (red and white stripes) for those two Hondas?

Apparently, the idea was from the head of Honda (over here in NZ, English chap), I was chatting to his Mrs but I completely forgotten his name. It was designed to look like the original red Honda wing. I think they look cool! Not sure where you can get them from though?

In the background of this shot you can see CSC. You could phone Cannon of Cannon Signage Concepts in Kumeu to see if they are his. 09 412 5020.
He seems to do a lot of the stars bikes.

Did the big bangs scare the crap out of anyone? :shit: I was in a portaloo when one went off (Thought I'd make it in time to see the start of the race) I nearly knocked the bloody thing over!

Nah I don't think they would fit my KTM. I just thought they looked really good. Very original.
