Hi Has anyone tried to improve the suspension of their scooter? Mine is a Suzuki uz125 and I'd love to get it riding softer. I know having 10" rims doesnt help, but I get sick of feeling every slight change in the road surface.

Yep. I've put a modified R1 shock on the back of my old moped. With the softer spring, it's great.

If you have a rear shock with adjustable spring compression, you can soften it by simply easing off the spring tension on the threaded nut.
If you don't have this type of shock....you're screwed...or try any locate the same length spring with a softer spring rating. Too much hassle for a 'ped, unless you've got the latest and greatest Peugeot or Malagutti.
A softer setting will make your 'ped ride even worse, not better, as every bounce is accentuated, and the bike slower to recover from the bumps. A firmer shock should ride a lot better. Get a second opinion on the state of your shock, it could be rooted.
Generally, with the tiny frame and small wheels, most scoots will bounce a bit, if not bottom out occasionally, due to the crap condition of most of our city streets.
I just put a Bitubo gas shock ($700) on my Gilera Runner, and it rocks. It makes the ride much stiffer, the bike is much more responsive, handling is so crisp now. Money well spent in my opinion, but then, I'm a nutter.:Punk:
