Having now come down off the high from Friday, and read all the advice offered in my 'other' thread, I now understand I have to knuckle down and get the first bit right before venturing into 'any' competitive environment.
So buckle down I shall. I figure about ten track-days, in various environments should see the pull-ups replaced with real pants, and will provide me with a far better understanding of my ability, or lack of, then I can go from there.
But Jesus, when this shit gets in your blood it gets in, eh?:mobile:
Thanks for all the advice, folks.
And as much as it makes me nearly choke to have to admit it, you're right, Katman. There's no such thing as casual racing.
And having conceded the point, I shall now go off and hang myself till it jolly well hurts.:--((((
