I'm after a bit of a change in pace. After having a good run on The Strangers Fazer I'm thinking of giving something a bit more upright a go.
Would prefer something 2003+, and 600cc+, not wanting to spend more than $8k. May straight swap for my GSXR1000k3 with WP shock (with cash difference if need be)
Currently liking the look of the XJR1300 and SV1000 naked.
Cruiser owners need not apply
PM me if you have something suitable :niceone:

Yeh true that, TL didnt really tickle my fancy when I rode it that one time. Might take it for a spin.

You should. The suspension is perfect now, decent tyres, different bars (better for touring) and its been yoshboxed. theres a huge long list of other stuff too.

Just be aware there are almost two categories of nakeds. On one hand, you have the (basically) naked sportbikes, I would put the fz1 in that, unless you mod it/gearing.
Then you have the more relaxed ones, like the cb900 hornet, tree pulling torque (and very fun for wheelies) :innocent:
Only thing with touring distance on a naked, make sure it has some sort of screen or something, that at the very least, will take the wind off your chest (helmet is more aerodynamic), otherwise, you'll be knackered after a day or more of riding.
I guess there is almost a third category now, with motards or supermotos as well... depending on the different ones, they can be just as good at touring.

Yeh, like i've mentioned, im leaning more towards the 'muscle bikes' than the supersports tourers. To be honest I didn't push the Fazer above 8-9k and it was all smooth acceleration anyway, not arm pulling stuff, but it is nice to have the boogie their should you want it!
