Seems that there are differing places where peeps keep their stickers

WHERE IS "To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include."?

Found it not at the bottom but at the top under tools or sumthink:bye:

Well mine was on the number plate, but that disapeared into the NZ wilderness with half the rest of my bike. I found the plate, but the WOF MIA, it was a near new 1 year as well :crybaby: think i can get a reprint.

My REGO on the other hand, well its been on hold for about 15months, guess i've just been lucky that the :Police: dont really check it.

On the fairing blade

What?

2 votes would be good - my F650 warrant is on the plate, coz that's where the shop put it, but my CB1100 warrant lives in my wallet, as have those for all previous bikes. Never been a problem with the plods, either, as it means they can actually read it.

Mine is in its little plastic folder.
But I seem to have some trouble :msn-wink: with the folder because it keeps slipping down over one of my numbers, slightly obscurring the plate.

Theres a handy bolt on the pavement side of the swingarm where the hugger is attached. I use the plastic holder thingy and bolt it there too. Typically, the plastic holder thingy leaks. The sticker is very pretty when the print runs... dried out OK though.

Doesn't matter where I put mine .... it always falls off !! :eek5: even the plastic holder went last time .....
On a different note ... has anyone had their rego stolen from it's holder ?? I had mine in it's thingy on the blade and some arse-hole nicked it while it was parked in town !! :bash: :2guns:

you haven't got an option for 'bolted behind the number plate'.. Both my WOF and rego are behind the plate. My bro was giving me jip the other day, saying that the cops could ticket me cos they can't easily see it. With mine, you have to stick your head under the tail to see it, but it's there, and there's no where else for it to go... It makes the lines of the bike look better being there anyway, so :whocares:

I don't actually know where it is on the VFR!

But on my last few bikes, I've attached the WOF and rego to the sides of the back mudguard, behind the plate. Yes, it's technically illegal (they have to be clearly visible), but I never had any problems with it.
The previous owner of the Firestorm had the wof and rego stickers on the back mudguard too - under the seat!!

Ask Weiner where he has his

The WOF is bolted onto the right hand top of the Rego plate.

The Rego sticker is bolted on the bottom of the Rego plate.

It helps to have them visable so that the police don't hold ya up to much... especially on a hot day when they decide to do WOF and Rego checks.

Imagine that happening on two bikes. Wonder how we get away with it

Well when ever i get one i will either have it in its holder thingy on the backside of my number plate or in my wallet wich ever will be safer.

I've had both an entire number plate and WoFs nicked at various times, so I used to keep the WoF under the seat. However for my current bike the WoF is in a plastic holder completely behind the number plate. That way it's hard to break off, but is still visible if a cop wants to see it. The registration sticker (interesting we still call them that) is taped onto the rear mudguard with waterproof clear adhesive tape.

My WOF expires 6 days before I can get my restricted, and I haven't got the money for it and the bike isn't in good shape and is unlikely to get it anyway :weep:

There should be multiple options!!!

On my beemer I have 3 (2 are current)

The origional one was under the seat, but the dude in the bike shop could not find it so he stuck one behind the wind sheild.

After 2 * $200 parking tickets I went back to the shop and asked the dude at the counter to put a new one in the holder. after about 15 mins and a bit of toing and froing it was done... took a bit long me thought, then they want ed to charge me... wot i said... then realised theat I now had a new holder on the number plate about 3" away from the original. I told them not to be silly and they agreed.

So now I have three, and I am happy.

Used to get away with behind the numberplate or under the seat - even with the police - but that was before the various city/regional councils got even more greedy than usual and started exploring the revenue gathering potential to be had in vehicle reg and WOF checks.

These days you've pretty much got to have everything bolted to the back of the bike and a few animated neon arrows pointing at them lest you return to find a couple of $200 fines plastered on your bike because a cursory glance from 25 metres away did not detect any WOF or Rego.

Though I shouldn't complain; if the council cut back the revenue gathering they wouldn't be able to afford to put rat poison in our water supply, forcing people to rely on getting it from their toothpaste.

My interpretation of the law is that behind the number plate is legal provided it can be readily seen . Law just says "in the vicinity". I think windscreen is legal too, after all that's where cages have them.

REGO: in one of those plastic thingies bolted to the bottom of the frame behind the front wheel.

WOF: in the small bag thing that hangs below the headlight (de riguer item on H-Ds)

It does depend on the eyesight of the parking warden...
If you have wof and reg then don't pay just point out the facts.
The stupid thing is that you have to prove it then they will check it against the computer anyway. however an email to nzcustomer.service@tenixsolutions.com will be ok

Rego is just below the number plate on mud guard in one of those fancy slide styled Rego holders.
WOF is in the plastic holder thing attached to rear of number plate.
