I can import one and have it on the road for about $4,300. edit: my price was for the UK one, which has a different seat and other 'more-sporty' bits. The one you have posted pics to, should be quite a bit cheaper.

They sell for 80,000 India Rupees (honest - been googling it) - thats about $2800 NZD.

Add shipping cost say $1k and GST you are at DB's $4300 without any of the possible additional cost of changing bits to get it road legal.

Personally I doubt Yamaha will bring them here - with the learners rules changing I think that there will be less of a market for bikes like this.

What are going to be the new Learner rules? Will we be able ride bigger bikes?

In UK the have the R125.Yes this is correct. My price was for the R125. The $US has moved somewhat, so I think that might change my price now. We shall see.

125cc is very close to 150cc, and the difference was not important to us. The styling on the R125 is much nicer. A very beautiful bike.

The bike is for my daughter as she is very small, and only likes beautiful things.

edit: I heard someone say there was a YZF-R250 coming, but I do not remember where I heard this, and I have only heard it said once.

I went to the UK yamaha site and yes the bike looks nice but it says its 2999 pounds? You said "I can import one and have it on the road for about $4,300" how is this possible because 2,999.00 GBP = 8,038.74 NZD

yes you will be able to ride bigger bikes - it will be based on power to weight ratios - search is your friend - there is plenty of ill informed discussion about it all over the forum.

Do you have a R125? How much is shipping for a small bike like that?I do not have one yet. After the summer we will order it, if they are still available. I do not know what the shipping was - I was just given a complete price, plus on road costs.

now I own a R15 and truthfully speaking there is not much in it other than the show off. Go for KTM duke or something, cause seriously nor the accelratior or anything else is good.
