Hi All

Thought I'd let you know about this kit (http://jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=KC5434&CATID=&keywords=5434&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=) that I found at Jaycar. Its perfect for driving a screamer from your radar detector.

I've bought this (http://jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=AB3466&CATID=15&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=291) buzzer, which I'm yet to road trial but I'm fairly confident it should be loud enough.

When used for triggering a radar screamer you simply run the Headphone output of the radar detector to the kit and when it goes off it triggers the relay which then triggers your screamer.

In all its really simple, power in, audio in, screamer out.

Now I know its not as cheap as the diy smoke alarm based project on here, but it certainly does the job with out the uncertainty of finding an appropriate smoke alarm and a damn sight cheaper than the commercial ones that are available.

If anybody wants one of these and doesn't have the nessecary skills to put the actual kit together send me a PM and I'm sure we can work something out.

Cheers
NN
