yeah, im gutted too! but i'd rather be gutted figuratively that literally gutted from the bike falling apart! (or selling it to someone in an unsafe condition)

So i think the best option is, for me to keep the bike, and modify it so it can do what I want, instead of sell and buy a bike that suits my needs.
