Well its all coming together for me at last. I have been attending motott track days for over a year now and have always had interest in eventually getting involved in racing....and it appears my time is nigh! :-)

I have been talking to some fantastic people involved in racing and I have purchased a lot of 'bling' for my road going 07 ZX6R from Jamie Rajek...a fucking faaaast man! I have now installed it all and taken it off the road indefinitely. Funnily enough, my decision to do this was re-enforced on my last ride on it on the road on my birthday...a parting gift from a friendly officer in the form of a fine of $120 confirmed my thoughts about why I now hate riding on NZ roads.

Sooooo...I have now got my race bike...my race license and my race number 808. I was wanting '08' but apparently I will have to earn that one . I have secured great sponsorship from METZLER tires in which I am completely sold on. I used the Racetec's at the last Motott track day in Taupo and was blown away with their performance! And my bike isn't properly set up for me yet.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to racing and have no grand illusions of being anywhere near the front of F2, however I know I will have loads of fun out there and will do my best. I have been happy with my riding growth over the last few months in particular and would appreciate any further assistance from those of you who actually know what your doing .

A few people I feel I should mention here is the crew at Motott who run a great track day and are the reason I am where I am now....Mt Eden Motorcycles have always provided far and away the best service I have seen in the motorcycling world and now have committed to sponsor my racing! You guys rock!!! Forbes and Davies for taking a chance on me and sponsoring me with my first choice of tires METZLER....I hope to repay all of you with some sort of success...maybe that's just rubber side down!!!! hehehe.

See you lot on the track! woooooop! :Punk:

Thats damn near exactly what happened to me at the start of this year dude........just a bigger ticket:doh:
Good luck with your racing man.............they should issue warnings with your race licence though......"Using race licence may lead to an addiction"
See ya on track soon:niceone:

Yeah....and I got made redundant on my Birthday too!!!!:weep: was a shit day! At least the cop reduced my speed from 122kph to 120kph so I didn't lose my license completely....90 demerit points! DOH!

p.b laptimes dont really matter in racing, as such. If you holeshot the start and block for the rest of the race, you will win. But this really happens of course, the fastest will also win. Its a massive gap between time trialling it and racing with 10 other nutters!!

you will probabley drop a couple of seconds straight away by following the experienced racers. so dont worry about what times you can do now, cos the eye of the tiger is worth at least 3 seconds or a free trip to the A&E. either way, its all shits and giggles!! enjoy
