In a bad mood so felt like ranting.
Long story short bought something off tardme and it was shipped shipped via Fastway. Had a look at the track and trace number and said it had been delivered. Obviously I did not have it so called them up. They asked the driver (who was obviously lying through his teeth) and said yeah I signed for it. Customer services were no help/didn't really wanna know so now I have to file a claim.
It just pissed me off because I know the driver is lying but doubt anything will happen, plus I'm wondering how may other packages have been 'delivered' by him in the past.
Rant over.

Get a copy of the acceptance doc with 'your' signature on it - and take it back to them complete with claim for a replacement item.

Fastway are to the courier business like Maori Wardens are to the justice system.
They are there- but not really to be taken seriously.
They look like they could do the job but they just can't be arsed!
They have no proper system, no accountability and because they dont get paid properly.... anything that can be 'lost' will dissapear with great efficiancy.

Fastway are the worst farkin courier service!!
I had some gear sent to me from Christchurch(bought of trade me) and my suburb in Auckland has the same name to one in the South island..
It did not matter that my parcel had my postcode on it and Auckland written... For 3 farkin weeks... my parcel travelled between Blenheim and Auckland a total of, no exaggeration here, 8 times!! because they couldnt decide which suburb it had to go to!!
WTF was Auckland and not Blenheim written there for then? A goodwill gesture which was of no consequence? dumb fucks!
It arrived this morning finally after 27 days!!

You can go to their site and find out the drivers that deliver in your area... Right down to your road... Call and ask any one of the drivers from your area who delivers to your road... Can find out the driver... Give him a call... an we can all pay him a 'friendly' visit..:2guns::bash::angry2:

Yeah I did ask for the signature but their computers were down when I went in (go figure) and someone was supposed to e-mail me it but still haven't heard back from them.
Haha yeah I think I know who delivers it but I don't really want to piss him off - he might start breaking packages or something.

I specifically request everyone NOT to send by Fastway as it's the sloway or the noway! I can't figure out why they are still in business!

We send thousands of parcels every year almost exclusively with Fastways, we have not had a lost parcel in over 2 years, and maybe a total of 6 damages or losses since 1990. This is an excellent company occasionally let down by some sloppy drivers. The same knockers cry the same about NZ Post, this is more like the truth of the matter 85 % were never sent, 12 % poorly addressed or became unreadable in transit, delay in delivery, 1 1/2 % Received but by Dishonest Person, 1% poorly packed, obviously broken = opps got lost, 1/2 % Lost. Best Advice, always double address, always pack so parcel will withstand being at the bottom of a cage with 600kg of freight on top of it. Fragile always pack Box in Box with soft crush barrier. Not all tracking numbers are immediately entered to their online tracking system, best to call your local depot with tracking number if concerned.

Same with us... we have sent out over 8000 parcels since 2004 (according to our tracking system ;) ) all over the country and some international. In that time I only know 1 damaged parcel, and none ever being lost due to Fastways...

if someone has signed for delivery and its not you then get a copy and go to the police, or at least tell the courier company thats what your going to do signing someone elses signature is fraud. see what happens then

I swear they only come into Pukekohe once a week and even then only when I stalk the driver. Husband has to use them at work and (Patumahoe just out of Pukekohe) and regularly has customers ringing to ask where their package is. They then stalk sloway and it finally gets delivered.
For me the average wait round here is 1 to 2 weeks per package. Although every 3rd delivery or so will be on time...just to confuse me.
 ah the joys of living just outside Auckland

bulshit- both of you! I simply dont believe either of you- you must be living with their dispatch clerk or something!
when I was a little younger and greener I worked as a north island rep for a power tool company, I had to deal with warrenty issues and regularly couriered power tools back to the company I worked for. When we started using fastway our parcels started dissapearing with ridiculous regularity .
two in the same week was getting a bit much!
My mate had a surfware shop and had similar problems with them. Whole consignments of Billabong stuff going astray - 4 boxes at a time:(

Ill second that i worked for one of NZs larger courier Cos of 7 years up untill 2002 half the shit that gose missing is internal theift we had a 30' tv go missing a huge number of chainsaws weed eaters all in one week as for damages let not go there half the numb skulls that do the fr8 sorting just dont give a shit and most of the time involved in the steeling of the stuff in the 1st place they sort it in to the wrong courier vans fr8 cage he then takes it and keeps it or drops it to some one on the road. As he was never ment to get it he is never suspected. As for the stuff that dosnt get signed for couriers just sign it off them selfs once they get use to del points and whos who.
