Firstly this is mainly a big thank you to everyone over my 125 years.

Yesterday I had my final ever ride on a 125cc bike and some people dont have much emotions about it but if you know what me and this bike went through together you would understand were I am coming from.

In late 2004 I was a crap rider and was offered the opportunity to ride Jay Lawrences Honda RS125, I bit at the chance and had a go finding it to be a peaky and hard to ride beast.

2005 I was racing and owning this bike, I ended up 3rd in the series and got some major learning going on

2006 saw a good start to the season but a broken elbow which nearly ended me from riding full stop put an early end to the season but I was back at a track day end of the year to relearn the bike again

2007 Saw bike breakdowns constantly as the bike got older everything started breaking down and stuffing out including a rear cush drive down the back straight braking the rim.

it also saw my first ever 125 crash.

Early this year I did the Cliffhanger Promotions sprints and recorded a best speed of 204 KPH I was stoked but then Cliffhanger sent me an email inviting me to there record attempts saying I had unnofficialy broken the New Zealand Land Speed record.

But Pukekohe saw a good friend of myne and my familys die and put an end to racing I decided I didnt want to continue Its somethign I havwent got over but something inside of me told me to continue so I went to a SV650 and sold my 125 honda

Well Luckily the owner couldnt pay for the bike and gave it back to me and I ended up using it yesterday for the final time down at the Cliffhanger Promotions New Zealand Land Speed record attempts.

I was joined By Paul Heard going for the World and New Zealand land speed record titles.
Malcolm Breadmore on his Hayabusa going for the New Zealand land speed record.
Vicki (sorry cant spell your last name) on the MV Augusta going for the Fastest Woman
And Stephen Bron and Deniss Simionsen on there LCR sidecar going for the Sidecar records.

I had a huge crowd and knew that that was going to be my last ever tiem of riding the bike and it was 8 months to the day of Derek Hill's passing so a tribute was on the side of the bike for him along with his numbers plasterd all over it.

I was aiming to break the New Zealand FLying Quarter mile for a 125
and also the standing Quarter mile for a 125

WIth a long morning of being close but not enough it was beginning to look like Mupryhs line a road in my hometown had gotten the better of us with its massive bumps.

A last minute Desision to change to a very lean jet as quoted
"its either gonna get us the record or melt a piston"
But just aswe were set to go my Sprocket being changed broke the Bolt on the Primary Drive a almost end of the day came but a good mate of myne Daniel kept going at it and eventually got the bolt out and replaced it.

I went for my run and got to the top and it was calm the bike was crisp and it felt fast so I came back and did my return run and saw the crowd put there hands in the air.

I got to the end and everyone was quiet I asked for results which came across the Walkie talkie as

"Ivan Juggins just Set a New Land Speed Record"

I was stoked Its a great feeling turst me, But what made it betterwas my fellow competors down the end congratulating em especially the Touching momment with Paul Heard a man who I was admiring goign for World Records coming and shaking my hand and congratulating me.
When I returned to the startline pit area my team and all the organisers and crowd were there just clapping and cheering, Mum hugging me Dad there patting me on the back
I cant explain the emotion I felt.
I just let rip and started Smoking her up.

I went back to my pit to get the bike set up for the qaurters and Malcolm was there Shaking my hand Vicki giving me the hug the Gull Petrol man sorry I dont know your name giving me the fuel vouchers and shaking my Hand
It was great

I now had a quarter mile time to break whch has been standing since 1981,
I lined up in front of everyone did my launch got to the top did my return quarter turned around and the look on Garrys face was just unexplainable I broke a 27 year old record in one run so I did it again and broke my own record again.

One last ride saw em do the flying again but this time was a ride of flat out for Derek, I watched everythign and knew this was my final time on the bike That was my final 125 send of.

So here goes.

Thanks to Langlands Honda for the years of support
Hamish Laing and Andrew Lawrence from Darbis all the support from the early days brought me to this.
Mum and Dad You two are the people that have got me the furthest without your support I would have never begun riding.
Shaun Harris, All your support over the years being how big or small it is changed me as a rider and helpt me get over my racing fears thanks alot man.
All my mates.
Daniel as of lately being a mechanic for me.
Doug Fairbrother for the Advice over the years when I did work experience with him and also the advice yesterday to help me get the records.

Thanks to everyone that reads this and I am going to miss that bike but now will see my full 100% focous on that SV650 and i have afew bigger things I am working on at the momment trying to secure

now heres my main reason for writing this its a bit from my heart.
