As some of you may be aware I just brought myself a brand new 2008 Scorpio 225. I got awesome service from the time I walked into there for the test ride to the time that the Manager, himself, delivered the Scorpio to me at home tonight after a few hiccups with finance.

He was very apologetic for the delay and he has really gone out of his way make sure his customers are happy.

To Paul and the team, great service and keep it up. See you all next week for my first service. :wari:

A pootle in the countryside.

Yup, should be a nice ride down...

Good thing her tyres will have been well scrubbed for the ride back up, though.

Ah! I had forgotton about that place!

I'm on the hunt for a Yamaha bike at the moment and had completely forgotton about the place in Henderson.. cheers for the reminder.

And congratulations on the new bike. Scorpio's be good fun. Just watch the skinny tyres in the wet.. Not trying to put you off just saying..

Yup. They're good cunts. Don't expect to go in there and get your ear chewed off by talkative persuasive salespeople, but it was about the most pleasant "walk in, order bike, sign forms, have manager personally deliver bike in van after hours" experience I've ever had.

:niceone:

So, yes, if you're buying a Yamaha, go there.

Make it a decent bet like JDs and I will take you up on that! We are talking a 1200 vs a 225...the road is not a race track :dodge:

True, but it could be a race that I could win.....:wari:

I can't condone racing on the road.

You'll have to turn up at Taupo on Sunday 7 December if you want to claim that bottle.

But you'd have to work for it... are you game?

But the Scorpio has one HUGE advantage over me on a track....I cant get my knee down especially on right handers because the sexy loud new pipes might just get a bit munted :Pokey:

I'm sorry, did I just hear you say that you don't think you can beat Jody and her Scorpio around a racetrack?

That's worth a couple of shots of JD right there, I'll collect at some point after 15 April 2009 when I get my licence back eh?

Yeah well I will concede. I really suspect that Jody would blitz my tank on a race track.....I can handle waiting until April 2009 to pay my little debt.

Now maybe another option is the Drags.....:msn-wink:

Too right. I pretty much have to ration the number of times per day I look at you, lest overexposure to your sublime glory scorch my retinas.

(That would be why I'm staring so fixedly at the computer screen right now.)

I absolutely agree. Best damned bike shop in NZ.

But J, I'm a bit worried about your last sentence....."if you're buying a Yamaha."

You're not thinking about buying a Honda, are you mate!?

Oh well. If you do you can have my pink boots. :--))

I had a Yamaha once, y'know. Nothing wrong with a man who's secure in his heterosexuality owning a Yamaha. They're not Suzukis, of course, but everyone has to start somewhere.

You're not thinking about buying a Honda, are you mate!?

Pfft.

If you ask nicely one day, I might show you the Suzuki logo tattooed on my left testicle.

Indeed. Some men, secure in their heterosexuality, have been known to return to Yamahas after deep and meaningful trysts with Kawasakis and Hondas.

No, although anything Bavarian might put at risk your claim to non-senility.

No, although anything Bavarian might put at risk your claim to non-senility.

Not much chance of that. German motorcycles are disturbingly too Teutonic for my tastes. All of that lederhosen and oompah band nonsense is a bit too Brokeback Mountain for this lad's heterosexual security.

Thank you for the offer but I think I shall probably defer such a privilege to Stickchick. Clearly the wee dear has excellent taste in motorcycles but rather dubious tastes in 'other' directions.

And why, Sir, have you not arranged for sundry KB Knights-on-shining-Yamahas to escort StickChick hither and yon for the first 1,000Ks?

Such lack of consideration should see you in the spare room. :--))

Are you doing the Redline Days?

She's a big girl (at least figuratively) and actually prefers to ride on her own.

Are you doing the Redline Days?

Dunno yet, it depends on schedule and budget. Probably one or two of them.

Nope straight up here is a rim with a shit tyre on it and here is a new tyre. Make the rim and new tyre friends.
