Hi fellas !

My name is Fabien and I'm a french frog that will jump around Wellington for the next year :)
I kind of always wanted a bike and decided to get into it when I arrived 3 months ago, as I figured out a bike would be the best way to discover your amazing country. So I bought a road book and started browsing TradeMe to find a nice little commuter bike. I found a quite good offer on a 1994 Suzuki Bandit 250 and worked out my Learners Licence.

I so just arrived among the riders (If I can tell so!).
I was pretty impressed to find out how this forum looks to be answering a lot of questions I had and I hope I will have the occasion to share my enthusiastic rides !

See you around :)

Fabien

Cheers for your welcome guys :)

I had a little question : Where should I post in the forum to ask for ride locations? I will have 2 weeks in January and I would like to ride around South Island at that time.

Thanks for your answers.

I'd suggest the Ride/Tour Report section. :-) Or pick up a copy of
"Great Escapes" by Peter Mitchell. Its a guide to motorcycle touring in NZ and rates each ride on a one to five star basis.

Perhaps more useful is "The New Zealand Motorcycle Atlas" (Hema Maps NZ Ltd) - a comprehensive pocket sized map book which also contains selected routes by the same Peter Mitchell.

You should find these books available in Dymocks or Whitcoulls
