it was awesome, it had some of everything
there were fast open paddocks, some tight single track, lots of really rocky river crossings and they didnt bog up to bad, some really fast uphill sections:Punk:
there was a jump with a really nasty kicker on it, a few guys got unstuck on this bit and i think they got hurt
there was also really good traction everywhere which was cool
it was a really good ride and was well worth the travel, will definately do it again next year:rockon:

Ride was a good un.... pretty bumpy in some of the paddocks, think i preferred the second part of the trail (where it split off from the green loop)the best.My nice new bike took a bit of a battering courtesy of a Quad rider he blasted past me on a uphill section and side swiped me ripping my hand off the bars and over i went.Of course Murphy's Law dictated that i end up hitting the ground in a rocky part= broken brake lever, broken side panel and ripped a bolt(including the cast thread) off a fork/ protector.Annoyed me a bit cause i was nearly at the top and it was a bit narrow and i always pull over when i can for the fast guys......but i still had a good time....

Did they have those two cool rocky sections on the hill climbs? Pretty dry this year but it was fun to see people struggle on those when they were damp a year or two ago.

noobi
17th November 2008, 08:49
they had a section where you crossed a stream on some pallets then went into the bush and it was really rocky there?
was about 100m long or something, wasnt difficult
there were places where there were lots of rocks in one place but only for a few metres and you had to ride over them to get past
i thought it would be hard but it was easy:2thumbsup

It was a great days riding. Defo going to go back for the next ride they hold. Agreed about enjoying the 2nd part of the loop best. My suspension needs sorting quick smart haha
