Hi mates,
I was aboard a bus going to the City from the North Shore and on the motorway just before the Harbour Bridge I saw a green Kawasaki Ninja whiz by with an L-plate affixed on it. :ride:
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Kawasaki Ninjas were 600cc and therefore beyond the reach of learners like myself?
Or is there a green Kawasaki Ninja variant that's only 250cc?
Cheers

Green, blue, black or red.
I had a guy asking me what size the bike was, there is nothing to say it's only a 250 on it.
He was taken aback when I said 250, and commented he thought it was a 600/750. If there'd been a 600 parked next to it, he'd not have asked, as it is smaller.
I'm just hoping they come out with a 400 by the time I feel I'm ready to upgrade, but maybe I will end up with a 600.
Had my blue baby for 2-3 months, and still love it.

There have been a (very) FEW exemptions issued for learners to ride a 650. Technically, they are still legally required to attach an L plate, but I hate to think what sort of ruckus that would cause. I felt like I had a fucken neon sign on the bake of my 650 when it had an L plate on it - bloody embarrassing it was.
So yeah it is perfectly feasible to have seen a brand new 650 ninja with an L plate on it. More likely it was a 250 however.
