I have a few videos online and being as the camera picks up alot of wind noise I take the audio out and replace it with music.
I recently got an email from youtube.com telling me I am in breach of copyright but only on one of the videos and that one has been removed.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yep same thing happened to me... they are getting pretty switched on.
Its a shame though, Youtube will never be the same...

Aha, yes I know a bit about this subject.
You have to be careful with recorded music over an internet site as you can violate copyright law.
You need the permission of the owner of the copyright to use their music on a video.
However, NZ law gives you the mechanism to do it anyway because you are not selling the music / video for profit as as a kiwi that is how you would be protected.
At the end of the day, you cannot be prosecuted because you do not own the website. Keep doing what you are doing because YOUTUBE generally is a corporate piggie who are desperately trying to save their ass.

Me luffs Tube TV - saves it straight on to my iPod.
It's also why my bike vids have such ordinary sound tracks. I make the music myself. Not nearly as good but at least it doesn't get yanked.

Apparently people in Aus are getting knocks on the door from police for dangerous driving posted up on YouTube..
It's causing abit of paranoia really.

I've had the same thing.
I did nothing, now there's advertising posted next to the video. Big deal.

so did they leave yours there and put an advert next to it?
They removed mine. It was a crash vid and had Emieniminmimnimns superman soundttrack over the top of it.
