In the left corner wearing a briliiant shade of navy blue? a bandit 1250abs.
Bit the bullet and did the buy me thing.
Gone is the GSX:bye: and replaced with GSF1250.:done:

Had a few ideas on what to get, criteria under $12grand or so,tourer, sports tourer.Narrowed down to GSF1250,GSX650F,VFR800,Blackbird,Triumph ST/SR,Z750/1000,and a couple of others.

With the Suzuki fest it made it tougher due to the cost of new vs 4-8 years old,but after riding a 650F thought it might be a bit small 2 up,although on paper probably similar power to the GSX750 the class of 1986.Handled good, but thought maybe underpowered, will probably be proved wrong on that point.

Next was the Bandit at under $12500,hard to beat, ticket all boxes.
SV1000 was an unlikely choice, but after sitting(no demo available)on the position wasn't as bad as I thought, and pillion comfort was perfect(surprised me),only concerns were reports of short tank range say 220km(similar to the GSX750),but bike for buck was right up there.Decided against mainly to a few reports with vibration issues, luggage cappacity etc.

Took an 07 ABS Bandit for a ride, grunty isn't an understatement at all, sitting on 100km @3000rpm,handled well so thought not to bad at all.Warranty transferable, good tyres and after serious thoughts took it.Can't wait for summer, really easy to ride, and heaps of cruise power, not a hoon bike but could certainly keep up if pushed with the sports guys, and rider ability.

Looking forward to a few decent cruises, the Chateau-Plateau springs to mind in Jan.:wari:

Is a good beast, couldn't and hard to fault for value, compared to the GSX it is like chalk and cheese. The Suzuki fest makes second hand the bikes reasonable, saw a K6 in Auckland for a few $$$less, but had 2 yrs Interest Free so that was a sweetener, but this one has ABS so made it easier to get instead of the basic(not in build)model new.

Wasn't a tough choice once wof time up for the GSX(21/11) and needing front and rear shocks seeing too,discs(3) very, very close to failing, light almost non existent at night, otherwise it was a good bike once you remembered it was built in 86,not 06.Still was good to put a few thousand km on and get the feel for riding, freedom the bikes give you,and for someone who categorically said "Aint no way I'll get on the back" with you,to the extent she happily rides pillion for 125km is great. The SV was her choice, and the decision to bypass it for the bandit was tough. She even suggested that the green Kawasakis aint bad either(ZX636/ZX10)that we saw impressed me,but the ride position didn't suit. Some good bargains around until the prices rise due to $$$ falling,so a good time to purchase hopefully.

Can see why people are impressed with the bike, very comfy as tourers should be,but with good carrying capacity 2 up.
And the council should seal Greens Rd,bloody bike was clean.
So will get some pics up soon, when I clean it,shit never cleaned any bike yet, purchased some spray shit from BP garage demo guys were selling yesterday, thought will be good for the bike, and wheels on the car lol.

Thought about keeping it,but seriously would not do it justice, and was only a GSX not the mighty GSXR,and needed to much $$$ to get it too handle after jumping off the bandit, better to get used to one bike I felt, than jumping from 1 to another. The motor on her was bloody good, just shocks getting stuffed like a 50 year olds tits.
