After retiring my bike following the first practice session (missing or incorrect rear wheel spacers), I had a chance to try out my new camera lens.

These are riders that I am not sure are on KB.

Some great racing out there today, such a good track.
I especially enjoyed the battles between Bayden and Fi5hy.

It was Pammy and my first go at Kaitoke today. Was great fun, once I'd sorted out all the rules and tried to tame my unruly hair. Unfortunately because my hubby's bucket had a hissy, I was the only B Grade rider out with all those loonie bloody A Graders, wasn't too bad apart from the occasional high speed sandwich maneuver by Bayden and Fi5hy (Yes, I'm sure I could hear those shits laughing as they did it) and Nudey's believing that I may be nice and not try squeezing him off the track as he tried to go around the outside of me coming into a corner (next time I may not leave that inch of track for you..... :)). All in all, I had fun, but was getting a bit tired from concentrating so hard on not changing my lines or pissing about and keeping an eye on when I was about to be pillaged again!
Thanks to the cart guys for making us all very welcome again. :)

Umm, well I can only speak for myself..... slow, but that has more to do with my stink riding and that mine is completely stock apart from the wheels and front brake. Skunk's goes pretty well really, he can tell you what he's done to his. I like mine, I like 2 strokes.:niceone:

Skunk's is competitive, mine is in B grade, so if you ride well and want to do a few modifications to it I'm sure it will be for ya. The main problem is the 4 speed gear box which I'm not sure is swapable with a six, but I'm sure a little stuffing about with gearing and spockets should get it going for whatever track you want to race.

My day was marred by severe incompetence.

Sadly all of it mine.

Firstly I was busy the last couple of weeks & we had a mini holiday. I finally got some time to work on my 50 the day before. Tinkering away I noticed hmm the exhaust spring is resting here.

WHERE’S THE PIPE?!?!!

Slowly it dawned on me it was in CW having some more perforated tube made up in the right size. It was 5 on a sat arvo. Rang but no answer.

So dragged out the 100. Added some nylon to one place that was in question.

So the practise started. Seemed to go ok, bike seemed a bit sluggish in the corners to get over. But it also started to give problems going up the hill the last corner it would die for a while starving for gas it would appear.

This got worse in the race & I lost a few positions after a leading start. The bike was getting a bit more squirmy & harder to corner but I didn’t really think about it too much.

Sadly this was a puncture. Couldn’t de-bead the rim (it’s a funny one) so that was the end of my day.

Hey nice pic of the Kawi!

The engine itself is good, reed valve. Can be ported to run pretty well. I sent mine to Pete Sales to get the work done and it's good. Not as good as a well modified MB100 like Speedpro does, but good (and WAY cheaper!). Mines never been on a dyno to get horsepower figures so I can't tell you that; I'd guess 12-14hp but I could be way off.
The gearbox is a different story. The ratios are OK but there's only four of them. Next is the selector mechanism: I've never seen anything like it before. Seems to be designed to be a imprecise, indefinite setup. Instead of the 'star' locater it's got a circle locating between pins in a circle. VERY easy to miss a gear or get the wrong one.
The really bad news is the whole engine and box appears to be unique. I haven't found anything else to fit any part of it.
The good news is there's plenty of them and parts are available new.

It can be competitive but needs some sorting. Carry sets of sprockets and use those to setup for the track you're on.

I'll go with Skunk there by saying that his is not a slow machine. It pulls away from my mildly modified Loncin with ease once he gets on the power but that's half the problem.
I can get much better drive out of the corners because of the difficulties he has with the wide ratios unfortunately.

Once I up the compression, get a hot cam and the pipe sorted, it's gonna be a different story in the top-end power stakes  !!!
