It's on Tradme here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=191948455
Yamaha TT 500 G 1980
Matching engine and frame numbers 1T1-232498
This is the last of the TT500's made and has the alloy rear swing arm.
Note: actual mileage unknown, it is 28 years old.
Cold start video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP7NSt-tEMI
New exhaust header pipe.
Supertrapp muffler.
New throttle, clutch, brake, speedo and decompression cables.
New o-ring chain, front and back sprockets.
Later model speedo fitted.
New front brake pads.
New oil and oil filter, UNI air filter and crank case filter.
New points, condenser, plug and just had a tune up.
Uni air filter and crank case filter
Renthal bars and new scott grips
Custom built alloy bash plate, side covers and front number plate.
Front and rear tyres have about 50% tread or better left in them.
The gas tank has a few minor dents which I have tried to capture in the photos,
Starts easily and runs great. It should have a top end rebuild in the next year or two depending on how much riding you give it, but for now it starts and runs and is a lot of fun to ride. If you are looking at getting into VMX classic racing then this is the best bike to have.
I bought this as a restoration project but haven't had time with the other bikes I am also restoring and I am now looking for a road-registered DRZ400 or XR400 with electric start to satisfy my off-road needs.
I will assist with shipping where I can at my end and locals are encouraged to come and have a look at it - just give me a call.
