Ok, so I may be posting this in a place where there is no interest in the subject matter at all, but hey WALES BEAT ENGLAND !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO.
And I don't want to hear any bollox from the poms out there. Martin Johnson has retired - get over it. Johny Wilkinson is a great kicker, but an average outside half - get over it.

and the Scots were robbed in the 6 nations V France. One disallowed try for being in touch, where the replay obviously showed the Scots player wasn't. Besides, the freakin touch judge could never have seen it as his view was blocked by the French tackler. Otherwise it would have been a Scottish win.
Damned shame.

Expert on Rugby...yip, sure am. Anything you wanna know ?
Are they showing the games live on Sky Sport ?
There was no replay on sunday morn, only on the rugby channel, which the boss has deemed inappropriate for our household.
Wales nearly beat the AB's, the AB's 2nd team that is. And they DIDNT beat the AB's did they, nearly doesnt really cut it. I nearly won the US tennis Open, but I didnt put in my entry, nearly did though.
Hey, and dont get me wrong, I support Wales against everyone except NZ and Scotland, especially against the poms. :niceone:

I don't know mate - I got up at 6.20 am and watched it on the Rugby Channel. I actually convinced my boss that it wouldn't cost any more money to sign up for it cos the movie channels were crap so we'd simply swap the subscriptions over.
Besides, if you sign up for the rugby channel now you get entered into a draw for 2 tickets to see the Lions openeing test. Fingers crossed.

Well I did see it and Wales were the better of 2 very poor teams. The BBC showed the error count 20 minutes into the second half and it was 8 to Wales and 11 to England, the ABs on good form playing either team the way they played on Saturday would easily beat them by at least 30 points.Wales had some good moments and 2 or 3 players that played a blinder,England had them rattled for a total of maybe 20 minutes during the game, and Jason Robinson was the only one who was consistently good.No sour grapes,England were bloody awful and any other result would have been totally unfair on the Welsh but it was a scrappy game and they were no great shakes either.

Well summed up. The only real excitment for me (apart from winning of course) was watching Gavin Henson possibly being mature enough to be worthy of being considered one of the best outside halves in the world. Seriously, this guy is really something special. I watched him work his way through youth, Swansea, Sharks and the international ranks to the full Welsh team. A world class goal kicker (better than Stephen Jones, maybe not quite as good as the man Wilkinson, yet), solid defender, cheeky and just about achieving the level of vision necessary from a world class three quarters.
I'll be flabergasted if he doesn't get a call up, maybe alongside O' Driscoll, for the forthcoming Lions decimation of the All Blacks later this year :yeah: :2thumbsup

Nope, haven't heard that one, the one I heard was, the English raped the world stealing from self-made men thinking they were God, and the Welsh were preyed upon by its neighbours for hundreds of years. The invading tyrants suppressing Welsh national identity, shipping off to Australia (the agony!!) anyone who dared speak or write in their native language. The same leeches that then set about stealing the Welsh nations natural resources which in turn bolstered the English invaders banks coffers to such an extent that the pirates could then afford to take to the seas and go about raping and pillaging nations all over the world, sucking the life blood out of these nations……....and the Welsh get accused of preying on their neighbours. :spudwhat:

What a brilliant comeback by the Welsh, following a rampaging first half by the Frogs. Wales came onto the pitch in the second half a different team, scoring 2 tries in about the first 10 minutes. Well done to the boys. Real calon (heart) as we say back home.
Wales are now top of the table with a 3 out of 3 winning streak, and have a real chance of winning the 6 nations championship.

Credit where credit is due Gav, you're right. Henry and Hansen instilled a professional attitude and approach to playing the game in Wales. Up until that point the game was still played by overweight guys that liked nothing more than getting pissed after training and after matches, and after anything else as a matter of fact. We struggled to shake off that mentality and attain a decent level of fitness, while the rest of the world embraced professionalism.
Graham Henry is a legend in my books, and it's now up to Mike Ruddock, a coach I had the pleasure of playing for in my younger years, and one I really rate, to carry on the good work. Which he is obviously doing very well so far.

Oh don't get me going with Brewer's yeast (ba doom cha!)
Seriously though - I had a friend go to another guys house for a wee drop of home brew... the yeast wasn't completely dead (or something like that) and 1/2 way home his guts started bubbling.. and bubbling and he had to stop the car (country road... at night)... drop his tweeds and run... and boy did he run.
Reckon's it's the best weight loss treatment he's ever experienced and it means you have to drink beer too...

Bobs reckoned that the Welch were the best infantrymen in the world. Suspect he knew whereof he spoke.
They certainly were thought as such during the middle ages. Made infamous during the battle of Agincourt where it is said that the Welsh played an enormous part in the success of ,what was, a major tactical victory by the English during the 100 year war.
Interesting fact number 235.
The two fingered sign (the reverse of V for victory or peace sign), used as an insult when displayed towards someone, was invented by the Welsh archers during the 100 year, and became legendary during the battle of Agincourt.
Such were the Welsh archers held in high esteem by the French, as brilliant killing machines, any archer caught would have both his 'V' fingers cut off, thereby rendering the ‘digit-less’ poor Welsh folk unable to continue their respective careers as Archers. Generally considered a role best suited for ‘digit-full’ type folk.
These poor soldiers, soldiers who would never again be able to enjoy gently caressing their loved ones woolly breasts, were actually released back home, so that they could show their fellow country folk what the French would do to an archer should they be caught. In response, whenever a 'digit-full' Welsh archer went to battle with the French from that point on, he would stick his two fingers up at the enemy in order to say, "Fuck you, I still have mine".
While all this was going on the English gentle folk present would moan and groan about everything, have a cup of tea, then play hide the sausage with one another to cries of,” I say Rupert, that’s a wopper wot wot."
