Hey all, I am interested in getting together with other learner riders and organising some rides around the Wanganui area. I have a good list of short rides that are resonably easy. Anyone interested or have views on what makes for a successful ride?
I can be contacted on 0274 778 004.:soon:

A successful ride is where you arrive at your intended destination with a minimum of damage to yourself and your bike.

A good short ride from Wanganui for a learner would be up SH3 for a coffee at Waverley. If you're a learner who hasn't yet figured out that it's better to spend longer riding your bike than you spend putting on and removing gear, then you could always tootle up SH4 to the Upukungaro pub.

If I was a Wanganui learner, I'd ride to Raetihi for a coffee.

Hey thanks for that. It's great to go out on rides with a group of like minded people. Cheers

call into the bp by the splash centre. see if the old man, victor, is there. ask him if his son, hayden, would be interested. the boy recently got his license and might be interested in going for a blat.

hitch, theres no way i would have tackled the paras as a brand new rider. even today i still hate it with a vengence. the ride to waverly however is a nice ride with differing roads... straights, corners and lots of hills. or you could go to sanson for an ice cream at crazy sundae.

im in wangas, im a new rider. ive been up the paras to ratas and back 6 times, that road is like bike heaven, its awesome, iv started sort of racing up there which is abit of fun scraping the footpegs, but just crusiing up is great too. a good road has lots of twisties to keep you entertained. straight roads are gay.
