I did love the bike.....to bits (literally....spread the bike to bits a few times already....LOOL)
I just want to say "Thank you Blade, it's been a great 5 years and I haven't even managed to use 100% of the potential or broke the engine either"
Now, for something completely new......hehehe........yes, time for something completely new..... :2thumbsup

Think of all that money...
The bikes you could buy...
The places to go...

Anyway, congrats on the wedding :niceone:

I got something new anyway. Looking at SH22 on Sat for a pre-wedding ride if weather is ok  If you're there we can swap a bit.
One question: How the heck do you guys clean a matt-black finish???? I know wax would make it whitish........How about Armourall?

COULDNT YOU HAVE BOTH? DID SHE LIKE THE BIKE? ARE YOU JUST SELLING IT IN PREPERATION FOR AN UPDATE ZX10, R1 ETC?
Marmoot
7th February 2005, 17:43
Yes....she liked the bike so much, thank you for asking.
what she doesn't like is the capslock button on my keyboard.
Anyway, no it's not selling for preparation for ZX10....although I saw a juicy add for ZX10 somewhere in this forum. Could it be TS new bike?

Congrats on the wedding. I'm doing the same in May, but there would be no way she'd let me sell my bike for it. I once spoke of selling it when we went overseas recently, got an ear-bashing for that!!

She is, oh yes she is. She's Japanese (the g/f that is), beautiful, funny, intelligent, hard working, my perfect gal. She gives me shit all the time, takes the piss out of me as I do to her, yet respects me as I do her. We do not argue (we both know lifes too short) ever, do our own thing whenever, don't need to explain ourselves to each other, have similar and completely different interests. She loves my daughter like her own (which we plan to have) and loves going out on 'suzi' to Akaroa, fark we had a 10 trip around Nelson a yr ago and she wanted to take the bike.
Yeah, I'm in love.

Blackbird with a matt black finish, nice. you want to use a neutral cleaner that leaves no residue (armourall leaves a film). Next time you are going to be down in Hamilton drop me a PM and I'll give you some stuff to try.

It's Groom-All, it's designed to remove dirt and oils from hands etc from car interiors, but it works well as a very mild degreaser. It's amazing stuff for getting stains out of upholstery as well.

good on ya getting married Rendy!
I'm a little nervous about you selling ya blade though because I'm quite sure its harder to convince the wife to get a new bike when you don't have one than it is to upgrade an existing bike!

Damn...it was difficult ^_^
I said "if it is not now, next year we'll be saving up for the house....and the next year will be saving up for upcoming kids.....after that we'll be saving up for the trip home to see parents (overseas)....after that we'll be saving up for the kid's school....etc etc etc"
Even the salesman@cyclespot said that.....
scary stuff huh?

One may be bikeless for a while but there will come a time when the two wheel addiction needs to be satisfied and a good wife will understand. :niceone: It will be like "its time you went for a walk again" The motorcycles coursing through the veins are not hard to spot, The bike may not be ones dream bike but hey, anything will do if money is tight and good bikes don't have to be expensive.

Got married thirty years ago yesterday 8 Feb. You can always get another bike. Hope you don't have to get another wife. Congrarts and all that goes with it.
You are on the ride of your life and it's fun all the way. Just watch the blind spots and slow down a bit if the going gets rough.
