So I'm thinking of investing in a set of jeans with kevlar, and up until recently all I had heard about were Draggin jeans. But, I went into a store the other day that introduced me to Hornee jeans. Instead of just taking the saleswoman's word that they were great, I thought I'd check with all of you... what do you guys think of Hornee jeans compared to Draggin jeans? Does anyone have any Hornee jeans? What are they like?

I'll be interested in responses too. I've tried Draggins on but they gaped majorly at the back so I never got as far as parting with the cash and trying them out on my bike. I'd also like to know whether they're worth the fancy price tag too.

I have draggins but I don't really rate them...never even heard of the horney ones

I'd be ashamed to wear pants with "Hornee" branding all over the fabric.

Dude, go for the draggins. :crybaby:

Ffs, what a name for a company.

She is not a dude.

I dare say though that if a chick had 'Hornee' emblazoned across their arse she would cease being a lady and would instead become 'shorty, bitch, ho or something similar'

So you don't see a downside either.

Personally .... I'd much rather see a "Hornee" arse on a chick ... than seeing her "Draggin" her arse !!

While in Sydney my partner tried on some of these Hornee jeans and found they were very low across waist and even worst in a seated position. It seemed they were styley but no good on a bike!

I bought a pair and wore them once - they were way way too low in the waist/butt for riding or crashing in.

None of those terms should be taken as derogatory! The world needs all the shorty ho' bitches it can get and so do I. Wear them around with the fly open! MMMMMmmmmm!!! :shifty:

I have a pair of Hornee jeans, they have an X on the label and don't say hornee anywhere on the outside
thankfully!!!

The kevlar bits are the same as on the draggin jeans but I found the style and fit of them was much better. I don't like the tapered fit of the draggin jeans but I could even wear the hornee jeans as everyday jeans which is saying something. I would try them both out, I went looking specifically for a pair of draggin jeans and came home with the hornee ones, the only difference is the fit and style, the protection they provide is on par with each other (not a lot really when compared to "proper" protective pants).

but +1 for the hornee jeans

I've never heard of "Hornee", but I would recommend staying away from "Hardas" jeans.

I'm in Sydney and the Honree brand is well known here. I have a pair and I have found them to be great. I think the quality is just as good as Draggins and the price is pretty much the same. For me it really came down to fit, I found the Hornee jeans were better for me however I have friends who like the fit of Draggins.

I would suggest trying both on (sitting on a bike) and choosing which ever feels better.

Well, after happily wearing my "Hornee" kevlar-reinforced jeans over a couple of years (they are my sole bike riding pants; very comfortable and stylish, on and off my bike), I'm about to buy some cargo pants by the same manufacturer - as an alternative, not because my jeans are worn out yet! Highly recommended:cool:

As crazy as it sounds, have you tried crashing in them? How did you fare afterwards. I always figured the lack if impact protection in Draggin Jeans and the like would make a small crash hurt like a mofo with broken bones and things.
