Repost or not it's the sort of riding I could watch all day long.
I went to Ruapuna many years ago on a very wet day.A friend said I was crazy. My reply was "If they are stupid enough to race in it I'm stupid enough to watch them"

I have a street version of that bike. It is quite easy to ride in the rain thanks to steering dumper, some sort of slip control and a slipper clutch. His bike should be more advanced in all of those areas. Not saying that he is anything short from a rider from god, but alot of credit there should go to the bike as well.

Sully60 is getting inspiration from that for the 1 hour bucket race tomorrow.
The forecast is for rain all day !!!!!!!!!!! :cold:

Fantastico!

I'm sure at the end David Tardozzi says 'Who is that?'

Meanwhile Troy Bayliss is thinking 'Fook, I'm out next and I have to follow on from that!'

... Something you still have wet dreams about being...

Maybe that's how he rides "in the wet".

Clip was awesome to watch - aquaplaning wheelies Woohoo! As for japs having super powers, that may be, but the real test of superpowers would be seeing a group of them riding like that in those conditions. Somehow I think all their powers combined would keep their bikes apart.....

I'm just going to have to watch that again!

Yeah he is sort of. He started Motocross in 88 but didn't actually like it, then started on 125s in '98 I think and the All Japan Supersport Champ, and then All Japan Superbike, and then replaced Dajiro Kato in MotoGP after he died. He has vastly more circuit experience than motocross.

go HONDA!!!!!!!

How do you know how far you can lean the bike when it's raining?? Obviosuly in the dry the bike can lean as far as the pegs/knee etc but not in the rain, so how can they sense when you are getting to the limit of lean? What kind of signs can you feel from the bike?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OOpE7fBw28 -Also another rain riding video that's fucking impressive, 2 people on a bike going knee down caning it round a car park... shit how do you do that?

bike with 2 people on it canin

The suspension and tyres tell you a lot. You know how far you can lean, because just after that point the bike slides, a good rider can feel the point just before then and stay just inside of it. It's also a lot to do with traction management and being really really smooth with brakes and throttle.
